  1. Just a small bit to add to this is that I have heard that extracting payment from farmers is apparently hard to do, and a lot of pesties are not interested in farms for that reason

  6. Always get your air gun chronographed...... http://www.burtonmail.co.uk/burtonmail-new...e.asp?ID=378581
  7. They are still under test by the GCT - why I don't know as they have already been approved by the Ministry You can get them direct from NZ from the manufacturer though OTC An interesting document..... https://www.islandnet.com/~kania/kania-2500...007-England.htm not sure about the Doc type traps having to be set in a tunnel provided by the manufacturer though...

  11. I suspect Bats, but if the survey is done properly then there shouldn't be a problem
  12. Well they are talking about ammending and making clearer what stipulates a tunnel fit for the purpose, read the bottom paragraph, although this is a welsh document and was put together in feb 2008 and may of been ammended..... http://wales.gov.uk/publications/accessinf...lorder/?lang=en
  13. I agree, and if we don't use proper tunnels / cubbies the use of these type of traps will be under scrutiny the same as snaring seems to be under the scope......... where's JBS gone did I miss something
  14. As far as I am aware Moley the kania needs a tunnel to lead into the trap, this was argued regarding what I wrote previosly, but apparently a leading tunnel is what is needed.
  15. Happy new year Ed, I may need some more info at some point regarding this mossberg article when the money is there ..... http://www.saddleryandgunroom.co.uk/gunroo...ooke_review.htm

  17. A Cubby Ian is usually made out of mesh, a kind of cage Woodga's recent post with a squirrels illustrates this...
  18. I have always thought that to clarify the law better, it would be much clearer to stipulate the length of the start of the tunnel/ cubby to the actual trap say 8inches etc..... I know we are talking BG's, but there has been a lot of negotiation consultation regarding the kania which is basically housed in a cubby but.....you still need a tunnel so when is a tunnel a tunnel
  19. I think the thing here is to use comon sense, if you get collared with a non target species in your trap ,then you will have to go a long way as to explaining the situation in order to get let off. Its a grey area for sure.......you have to use a tunnel for a fenn or body grip in a loft but why is it ok to use a kness or victor rat trap in a loft without a tunnel, regarding pest control I believe they make the rules up as they go along
