Gnasher,jewellers rouge only works on normal plate glass ie glass thats not been put in a kiln and cooled quikley to make it toughened and I suspect if it's bow fronted then it will in fact be toughened. One way to check is for a saftey mark but I dont think you'll get that scratch out mate ATB Seany

    Forgive me for being twat,I've got the book long netting from peg to peg,but it looks like he's using 2" mesh board but I got confused when 4.5" was mentioned,I thought you ment the mesh board that would be massive! So Lee 14 rows at 2 1/4" including the selvidge! smithie 4 1/2" is the measurement of corner to corner(if it was a diamond)! Seany :11:

    How you doin lads,I've got a season under my belt with ferreting now and Im turning my attention to net making again.I reckon I could do with two 10 yard stop nets for hedgerows,Im gonna use hemp two inch mesh board but Im not sure how many spools I need,can anyone give us a clue? ATB Seany

  9. Hi John,there really easy to make yourself.If you go to any joiners workshop and ask for some hard wood offcuts aprox 20mm thick,as long and wide as you like, then just cut 25mm to nothing wedges and drill a hole for your draw cord simples!should only cost a couple of quid Seany

  14. Landywoods are on there last chance with me,price wise and deliverys have always been spot on but towards the end last year the meat started to smell a little ripe so I gave it a rest. There coming this week so fingers crossed! ATB Seany P.s The lady on the phones a bit grumpy!

  16. Guys,I really want to have a go at setting some wires for rabbits but Im a bit worried about catching cats and foxes. Am I right in saying this is unlikley because of the setting hight for rabbits is different to foxes?? thanks in advance Seany

  21. Well what a morning!Lovley Breezy mild morning here,got to one of my permissions today thought I'll go out dawn and beat the dog walkers. Anyways got netted up enters ferret one bolts bump two bolts,then fooking dog miles away from its owner comes bounding all over my nets upsetting my dog ferret pops up and gets scared into a ditch full of briars and wont come out!so gets hold of the dog and have to walk it back to its owner.This happened again no apologie just a filthy look.by this time Im thinking sod this Im off only to be confronted with a broken front coil spring on the motor!Rant ov
