  8. Morning all, finished my nights friday morning grabbed a few hours kip and headed out to my permission and came to a bury wich was covered in briars so out came the big lad mechete So after spending an hour chopping away thought i might as well give the ferret a run not expcecting much because of all the noise, set my nets and went for a short walk.Came back and entered the young hob Mick. This ferret I feel is getting the hang of things now with him coming above ground and almost tasting the air and returning down different holes without getting tangled up.Now I didnt have enough nets for this
  9. Front Line spray and a tick picker is the definate answer, approved by my vet just this week worked within 48 hours. they riggle so much that you struggle to use the tick picker also if they pick any more up it will continue to work for up to 4 weeks after treating ATB Seany
  10. I would'nt have a clue about the strap I just nicked the bits off the small box,I did think maybe you could use a strap off an old holdall bag. ATB Seany
  11. Anywhere between 50- ponds delivered off of ebay, just make sure you take note of the length of the roll, the one i got was 30mtrs, the wod i got from travis perkins, the whole thing cost about £100 pounds including screws staple gun and staples etc. Alot cheaper and bigger than the chicken coups on ebay etc Do you think chicken wire sturdy enough for ferrets? ATB Seany
  12. Good job you found some tullfan mate ply is very very expensive these days, just another point you could try joinery manufactures shops for off cuts and also machined hardwood for pegs. ATB Seany
  13. Morning AA,pics below are of a single box I bought off of E Bay so I could copy the pattern and see what bits I needed. All I did was increase the measurements on the width and depth by a third to make the double. You will need 1 sheet of 9mm ply 1 sheet of 5mm ply (try builders merchants mine are cheaper than b+q etc) some no nails adhesive panel pins 1"1/2 oval nails hinges latch nuts, screws, washers and carry strap dimensions are width 450mm,hight 200mm,depth left 365mm,depth right 23
  14. £20 for 100 ml spray, but i wonder why its only the sprays perscription?
  15. I know what your saying stubby but there really really small. But when i get on top of them have a real good check daily Yeah thats what I did mate they've started to drop off already I might just look into that mate. Anyway its all good expeirience cant run to the vets every two minutes!

  17. Im afraid i spoke too soon with the ticks,a few days ago I noticed what I thought was a cleavers seed on my hob mickey so went to pull it off and it was a tick so thought dont panic and sent away for an O'Tom Tick Twister,it arrived in a day but I found it very fiddly and by this time there were more and also on my Jill Mallory. So phoned the vets today and luckily a vet answered so I asked if I could buy some frontline spray no probs he said its safe for ferrets no consultation needed so fingers crossed ATB Seany P.S I wonder why the sprays perscription only but the spot-ons not?
  18. I fed mine twice a day when they were very small but now once per day last thing at night.Nothing but raw meat,(rabbit when I can catch some!),pigeon, chicken wings/carcasses,beef,breast of lamb etc.I do always check for stored food though because of flys ,plus when bits of bone dry out they become splintery and can cause a hazard ATB Seany
  19. Good to see you a good day mate, your catching more than me!
