I went out yesterday afternoon for a mooch with 2 lurchers and spaniels my rough bitch ended up cutting leg blood pumping out of it didn't think it was that bad till I had a good look had to carry her back half way getting back to car nightmare lucky by the time I'd reached car bleeding had steadied up abit I patched her up when I got home anything that happens to me and the dogs historically always been a Sunday few vets have made a few quid out if me due to 1 thing or another if I can sort it my self they ain't going the vets especially on a Sunday she was OK though ate lastnight up this mor

Well let me tell yah them dog had some minerals 1st time we dug that dog he died near enough shallow earth ash pit not ideal but I thought be easy dig for us was easy but dog being a big boy bumping round earths on ash wasn't best idea

This dog was bred off a good dog from up the north there were a few good dogs in that litter few never saw old bones they were hard dogs though you didn't need to worry about getting them in it was the holding back that was the problem

Late reply to this capper but yeah i get what your saying I've saw these type of dogs but very few and far between these days unfortunately I'd say I'd say you'd have a high percentage of saluki types that would fail on them foxes mate then you would have of bull cross types 2 different dogs for 2 different jobs

I never knock a dog that's good at it's job always a pleasure to see I was never much of a coursing lad for me the aim was always to get a single handed fox dog then when you've got 1 just hope that it cab keep it up I spent many a day and night out in all weathers hunting for them either bolting with terriers from earths cover or bales to going out with the lamp and fox call most were hunted local to me them dogs weren't world beaters but I had my numbers with them I think these days it's hard to find dogs like I used to back then
