The one I have acquired is not the "remote control" type like a telly remote as to speak. It has a handle that comes inside the cab like the lightforce handle. I have just been out again tonight. Its free now and moves much much smoother and to top it off it now faces directly back. Don't ask me how it just happened when my pal was watching me back down a track ( I think he passed the little plastic stop inside the base. So it moves up down from bonnet to stars, and 360 degrees.( i will have to remember what direction to turn it when I begin lamping so I do not keep turning it rou

24 inch is fine mate. ( to keep you legal anyways ). BUT if a gunsmith does it he will be obliged to have it proofed. You say "tighten the choke" to what and from what ? Unless the gun is a one off and worth a fortune ( and it will not be anymore after you get this done ) the cost of the mod will prob outweigh the cost of the gun !! Is it not better to buy a multi choke ? Why do you need this mod and why the 24" barrels ? Tell us more Cheers

Swarozki mate. If you want something that little bit special. and if as you say "toying with the idea of spending a vast sum of money I don't have on a scope I don't need." Go all in and buy a Swarozki. The clarity is world class, a top bit of glass. Cheers

I have been out for an hour to try the lamp This lamp here. I fitted it no problems at all. The up down movement is a bit on the stiff side until it slackens off a little. ( the newness thats all ). Right you get 2 beams search and spot that works fine off the switch they supply with the lamp. To sum up its performance I would say its right there with the top leading hunting brand lamps. The light is very powerful on spot mode it gives Cristal clear view of stuff way way outside the range you would shoot at. The only fault I would say "if it is a fault" is the lamp rotates 340 degrees

Tempting very tempting This scope here I sort of want it So I have sent the seller a message "Dear problot, Hello. I have been told from a UK supplier that these scopes might be FAKE, Can you confirm that they are original and have no faults as I need this scope for Xmas. I have been told that they can be fake cheap imitations. Please tell me the truth. Thanks NAME HIDDEN, trading standards informer I will tell you what the answer is. Mind you I would have this scope if it was not the fake zero after every 10 shots model. Cheers

Funny enough I asked the marine guy who is selling THESE TYPE about the time they are on and do the generate heat that will damage the housing or the wires to the lamp. He said no way ! These lamps can be used more or less constant to assist boat navigation in the hours of dark. Actually I have had one of These lamps delivered today, I struck a deal with the seller. I have tried it and to be honest I can say "wow", what a beam, search or spot. Comes with a switch to change from spot to search. they are a sealed beam lamp but made to withstand the weather. Well its on the vehicle

I am in the market for a decent lamp that will operate remotely from inside the vehicle. I know that the Lightforce Remote Control Handles seem to be the popular choice to fix a lamp of your choice to. But they are a bit overpriced in my eyes. £73.95 From here, quite close to me But then by the time you get a decent lamp to use with it like the Lightforce - Blitz or similar what sells for about £103.95 Your spending £178 quid or there about. So I have been looking at alternatives. I have seen a few on fleabay THIS ONE HERE seems to appeal to me but there is only +/- 28 degree up /

help with try9ing to get open fac please
Fieldsports replied to jamie g's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Had fac granted before but 4 years ago I handed it in as I simply was not using it due to change in employment. I re-applied and got it back a few month ago. Yep that came back as a closed cert. It said “The … (My .22 and ammo) … to which this certificate relates shall be used only for … (vermin control) … and for zeroing on land deemed suitable by the chief officer of police for the area where the land is situated and over which the holder has lawful authority to shoot.†Or something like that So the very next day I rang up and explained this to Northumbria. I was swif -

Hello. Sorry to drag this topic out of the archives but I have had 2 spent shells sticking in the new CZ using winchester in the last couple of days. Overall they work and do the job better than average and eject no probs but now I am conscious of it and thinking it will happen again. ( I never had any bother with winchester and my old mod2 brno ) I have asked the dealers if this has been a problem with any of the other new CZ's they have sold and they reckon it is rare but the odd person has mentioned it. They say the same that has been mentioned on here "winchester have a smaller casing

Bore sighter OR Manual method ?
Fieldsports replied to Fieldsports's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Whats that ? Shooting a few rounds to zero in and get a good group or buying a bore sighter ? Steve -
Hellow. I will just stick a post up to pick your brains here. I have just changed my scope on a CZ 452 to a 4x12x50 and the set up was not that bad ( well the way I do it ) Where I go Rabbits are a bit spooky so they tend to sit nice about -100 yds so I thought I would get a better look at the target with a 12X zoom. So, to zero at yds at the size of a penny constant took a few shots ! Do you lot just do it like me or use a bore sighter ? I have seen these for sale and to be honest I ain't used them, how good are they ? Do they really work to zero a rifle in at yds + ? Thanks lad

lets Just face it. Deker is right, these guns are a right piece of sh1t. And we bought them thinking they were cheap and that we were getting a bargain ! BUT we are wrong ! We bought Turkish crap. Made to the crappiest standard and safety was the second thought. I would rather buy a bath toaster "as seen on TV", well it will be just as safe. If you have one get rid of it now ! If you have just bought one take it back ! If you have a old one then you do not shoot much do you ! Listen to Deker on this one.

It does make you think twice ! Us brits are pretty much hated these days.

Sunday and Christmas Day Shooting England and Wales. No game (including hare) may be shot in any county on any Sunday or on Christmas day. Before the passing of the wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, Orders prohibiting the shooting of wildfowl on Sundays could be made under the provisions of sections 2 and 13 of the Protection of Birds Act 1954. Although Sunday Orders can still be made under Section 2 (3), none have been made. However, some Sunday Orders made prior to the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 have not been repealed and are still in existence. They have the effect of making i
