  1. is that the bitch im having bud. yes mate hunting up already ha ha, nice one bud, looks a little belter, cant wait to get her and do some proper training
  2. there was a hell of a tread about this a while ago bud.
  3. she is out twice a day mate for a least an hour each time and sometimes my son takes her out for a walk aswell .she's a ball of energy but i suppose thats a good trait she sounds like she has some energy, just one of those things, once you occupier her mind on the choosen job, then hopefully this will stop, put up mesh around areas she chews, dongs dont like chewing wire.
  4. some lurcher's have this problem, and especially if they are a higher percentage of greyhound, also could be to much protein in the diet
  5. totally agree with the above, no more to be said
  6. not having a go or out bud, but i have never had a problem with pups/dogs chewing kennels, plenty of walks and mind stimulation seems to work for me, it is usually a sign of boredom
  7. i have a big lurcher here and too be honest isn't the best around other dogs he doesn't know, but he is as game as hell, never once backed down no matter how hard the night has been, for that reason thats why he is still in my kennels, and the other lurcher is very, timid, but is a joy to own and game as they come, so i dont think it matters too much
  8. wouldn't start on a golf course bud, even them can make a experienced dog look daft at times, also the dangers are not worth it, let him have a few slips ie 3-4, and if he misses take him again in a week or so, dont slip on long rabbits nice and easy ones to start with, try for the ones out in the field and not to near the hedges. Good luck, hope all turns out good for you
  9. as said these dogs are tested day in day out, excellent bunch of lads
  10. ha ha he is 28-29 inch, deerhound bull grey.
  11. Young rabbits in the summer are a good way to get a dog started mate, that's just life. totally agree with you nothing better than giving the dog a chance a build up confidence, that's what its all about, i start mine on the mixi rabbits etc, soon pick it up. Good luck to you
  12. had the same a few yrs back, pup was in plaster for 9 weeks, then she was to be lead walked for a further 6 weeks, then she was ready but to be honest she never ran the same again, so she was rehomed as a pet. Good luck to you
