  1. SOLD Hi guys. Iv got 19 snares here that are WELL weathered, i have used then a few times. These fence snares were made buy Woodga, out of the 19 snares, only 2 have caught rabbits . So they still have a good life left in them. All im asking is £5 POSTED, If you wish to see a picture then PM me and i will put them up on this post. Just to give you a idea. That is a 12INCH ruler
  2. Mate read the rules Enough said. Lets get a few things straight here, and let me make the point up front that I do not advocate using air rifles on fox nor am I defending anyone for doing so. You guys are far too blinkered here, there "may" be a situation where this is appropriate, this is not a black and white issue, although on the whole it is probably nearer black than white! What are these rules??? Perhaps you would be kind enough to point them out at it is news to me! Rules can only be based on Legislation, otherwise it is guidance and suggestion, there is NO le
  3. Simple answer mate, try a variety of calls. Not all calls will work for all foxes. And we are coming into the breeding season for fox's at the moment and they do not respond to rabbit distress noises as well as they normally do. If you have the spare cash buy on of those electric calls that have a range of calls from rabbit to fox bark, they should sort you out
  4. Funny enough i was thinking about this last night , but i thought id sell it as a whole package matey
  5. Beauties mate, really nice knifes, i would have the third pic down if i wasn't saving up for a lithium battery.......... DAM
  6. Bump pointless bumping mate topics are now locked in date order
  7. For making string or some sort of line?
  8. NOW SOLD Never thought id say this but im selling my Light-Force Blitz . It has been the best lamp i have seen/used but i am down grading to the Striker, due to the lamp being so big and powerful its a bit of a cuffuffle to use in the wind and when walking with the dogs it does get a bit heavy, hence when im selling this to fund my striker and lithium battery. The lamp has been rewired by myself, if you have ever had a Light-Force your probably aware of the wire problems you have if you use the wire they sell it with. I has a 17-amp fuse which is not from the DEBEN company, i do not like
  9. Around 7inches I think it was. I check it today but didn't get anything.
  10. Cheers for the replies guys. I am getting into fox shooting now and when it comes to apply for my FAC I need to decided what fox caliber I will put down. Still plenty of time left to think about it thought haha
  11. Just curious for future reasons, but that caliber do you prefer for foxing? I do like the 22-250 but would like others experiences with the other calibers. So what caliber would you recommend for foxing?
  12. Heres a picture of where one of my fox snares has been set. It has been set between a stone dry wall, thats obviously, but its has been set there because the fox has been passing from a 13 acre field into a small paddock like field where there is one lone sheep and it does not look in good health. There are good signs that he/she has been using this run, string smell of fox, foot prints in the snow and hair on the wire, so hopefully while he's out looking for meal he'l get more that what he wanted. The snare is connected to the fence post with the snare clip you get when you buy the snare so
  13. Went to check the snare this morning, nothing in them, looks like a fox has been about. Fox snares are down and now we play the waiting game. Will put a pick up in a mo.
  14. Jai, iv just been putting some rabbit snares out aswell, i can see where they have been going on the fence line and now like you hope to get some in the morning. I also can easily see the fox runs. So tomorrow i will be going back with a few fox snares and putting them down. Hopefully i will get one or two.
  15. Couls someone tell me what they use as fox snare anchors. If i have a run between two trees or by a fence post i normally nail 3 fencing nails into the post or tree and hoop the snare with through there. But i have a few new snaring sots where i need an anchor to snare the fox's, could anyone shead some light?
  16. Youl defiantly have some fun with the 20bore matey, great fun , and less kick than the 12.
  17. I can remeber members putting a link up to a web site that had fox calls and distress noises. Could some one please put the link up if they have it, Thanks Whippeter
  18. Well was over my dads the pther day and it is good lad for snipe so took my new Smith&Wesson 12 auto and went for a wonder in the early morning about 7ish. Walking through the reeds and nothing then a snipe got up and i quickly shouldered my shotgun but didt get a shot off as it had gone through the trees . So went to a pond where there's normally one or two, it was a snowy morning so they would be under the tress hopefully. Went up to one side gave a clap with my hand and a snipe got up. Before it could fly 5 yards from its seat i had put a perfect shot on it, it was stone dead before
