  1. good haul remi ...that looks a good set up with the boat ...WILF I had a clear out of my cabinet ...the old beretta 302 is the gun I use most a good reliable gun always have the full choke in and dont miss much with it

The alarm went at 2.45 a regal king size and the rest of last nights bottle of magners for breakfast ....the dog and gun loaded into the truck and I was on my way for the first wildfowling outing of the season ...the moon was big and the wind was a light South easterly not ideal at all ...got on the foreshore and the tide was high a quik hide was built and the deeks throwen out.... by the sound of it there were plenty mallard and wigeon rapidly ...ducks started heading off as daylight came in but headed away from me with that wind ...managed to get a wigeon and a good retrieve by Star and was

  4. you must hhave had a similar up bringing to me cause I was on the mud and in the fields as a nipper infact I was just speaking to my auldman about it the other day I could strip clean and reasemble a beretta 301 when I was 6 years old great memories . Like I said I find it very hard to believe that migrateing pinks were that far south in August good luck this coming season

    for geese on the foreshore hevi loads are the best ive tried infact they are very very good catridge I use bufallo 36g4s as an allround load for vermin and duck and geese a good killing catridge that is not too excpencive ...I have to disagree with you wag regarding steel shot I have fired 100s of steel shot catridges trying various chokes and it just didnt cut it infact the last lot of mammoth steel shot I had I chucked as I found it just didnt have the stopping power and was down right cruel pricking to many birds .....the whole lead shot aruement is nonsence they did study up here where t

  12. taken from my garden +/- 60000 comeing off the fields at dusk taken at the back of my house last year ....I have spoken to some very knowledgable fowlers today and none have heard of migrateing pinks this far north never mind that far south in August ....canadas may be beneath you but I will test my wits against them this weekend

I still find it very very hard to believe that there are migrateing pinks that far south at this time of year but who am I to quetion someone with 40 years experiance ....you have 10 years on me as ive been out in the mud since I was very young and like I have already said 1/3 of the world pinkfoot population roost 2 mins from my house as for shooting them on stubbles in august ...that says it all

If you were realy testing your dog to the limit on all quarry as you putting you wouldnt be bumping your gums on here or taking pics .....its lads with your attitude that will get hunting with dogs banned over the water like what it is over here .....I still cant believe all these years later there are stillpeople crying about not being able to put pics up of ilegal atctivaties ....no matter how much you think this an unjust law ...thats the way it is until there is a hunting rapeal
