Some good clean heads ...most of the bigger lads are clean in my area still a few smaller ones very much in velvet as expected ...watched a decent bodied lad at the weekend that has a single spike on his left thats nearly twice the size of his normal antler but hes still not clean ....hopefully meet him in a few weeks ...once again some good heads

nice one moo, never had a pike on the fly before ,were you down to the backing line No where near it ...it took a bit of a run as it came up to the boat but not as good as a fight you get from a similar sized troot

Went out last night on a local 200 acre loch ....I was planning to land one of the over wintered brownies that can be into double figures ....set up with a hi-d sinking line with a bouyant white minky that I had tied that day ....anchored the boat just off a reed bed and cast just off the reeds and right on the drop I got a tug ....I knew straight away it was a pike by the fight ....first pike on the fly ...they are natures evolution at its best stunin fish of + 4lb
