  3. Yes you get what you pay for? But i do get all my stuff from mole valley as it`s all on my door step and had know probs with there snares. So good luck. James
  4. I use a Aluminium carry box wich was used for my racing pigeon. They come in all sizes and are the lightest on the market.
  5. Hi there we have over 60 chichens and ducks and have steel 8x6 fence with barb wire around the top and the fence in dug in to the ground with barb wire under ground to stop fox`s so i should beable to keep cats out. will put some pictures up tomorrow to show you my set up ok. Cheers james
  6. Get some marine ply, As that will last you a life time so it work out cheap in the long run. Hope that helps.

  10. Hi James, I'm one of the lucky ones who know exactly what Widecombe-in-the-Moor looks like due to the fact I am at Ashburton. Perhaps we should meet up sometime for a day out with the Ferts, I've got a LOT of permission around and about Hi there ive just got two more farms to ferret on. They will not let me shoot on there land as they have public footpaths going though there land. So would like to catch up with you soon as i`m still learning the ropes. lol I`ve pm you my number. Hi there i think you will be ok as most ferrets play in tubes and next boxes and platforms, And if it out working all the the better, But dont take my word for it as there are so many people on here who could tell you much much more than i can, As i have just started out with ferrets, But i did do a lot of looking on the net first.   19. Hi there thanks for reading my post, Ive just got Permission to go ferreting with the jill`s on 50 acres and the farmer gave me some woods to look after too. So i cant wait to go with my kids to lend a hand, As this is the first big job ive had on dartmoor, I have had a few little fields to hunt on. But the rabbits have been on the other side of the field and I didnt have permission to hunt (but i do now) lol And the fields are on my door step.
  20. Brought one of those fox callers as we have over five fox`s around here, So i couldnt wait to give it ago, as there was so many good reports with this device. So out i went out and not a bloody thing out there for the last two nights, the wife said i was conned LOL! All i saw was a pussy cat running towards me. Is there a better way of using this devise. LOL. James

  22. You only got her last weekend, how much time does she spend in this workshop playing etc a day About a hour and the rest of the day i`m in and out getting used to me? I know it will take a while but been told so many things about ferrerts. Just dont know were to start.
