  1. it dosent, its a manual safety catch you press it in to put it on and back out again to fire, its easy to use.
  2. you should never rely on a safety catch. always have your rifle pointed in a safe direction. i find the safety catch on my AA s400 fine. i give my gun a wipe down with a oily rag and have never had any problem with the blueing.
  3. AA s410 tdr. its about 5.7 pounds and looks great. also i have heard that if you take the cheekpiese off (its a take down rifel) it is practically a pistol even if its an unbalanced one. http://www.air-arms.co.uk/products_TDR.html
  4. very good shooting mate! are you near an army range cos i heard some gun fire half way through?
  5. my freind has a .20 rapid and he uses logun domenators in his which group well. if it was MY choice in this then i would go for the bsa r-10 because they have a good shot per fill, they look stunning, an are well balanced. but the thing is its not my choice its your so go for the one which handles best. as for calibre, nearly all modern pcps are accurate enough to kill no matter what calibre they are. i dropped a rabbit saturday at 25 yrds without a single kick with my s400 .177 using FT trophy pellets. it just fell over. best shot i've ever done.
  6. i already have a copy please give it to another young hunter.
  7. good shooting mate and glad to see your starting them young. my dad never takes me out and i'd be lucky if i managed to get the s400 out once every 3 weeks to go hunting. he just cant stand sitting by a fence as i stalk into the fields (as he has no intrest in hunting) but i got out for an hour last night and 'ill post up what i shot later today.
  8. ok cheers lads might buy it stick it on my s400. if its al right to 45 yards im fine. and i dont see why you can't put an FAC scope on an airgun..
  9. i only shoot woodys off wiresor out of tree's with my airgun if i knew that behind it was open arible land or a deserted area. i would never shoot a woody off a wire or out of a tree in a buitl up are (i.e town, busy farm) as there is always a risk. now my air rifle is doing 12ftibs. your rimmie is doing around 96ftib i think. so unless you have got about 3 miles of open land behind that woody/crow/squirrel its not a good idea. you could always decoy with a rimmie, or just stalk around until the woody has the tree trunk behind it although easier said than done.
  10. recce the permission would be a good idea. as for cammo, dpm will do but pepole forget about the thing which stands out the most: your face and your gun. so either a veil or scrim scarf and some scrim wrapped around your barrel will do.
  11. ok found a cheap one going s/h for £30 and wanted to know if there any good? it looks good. ATB Aaron.
  12. very good shooting! let me guess: bsa ultra on the left and s400/s410 classic on the right? its hard to tell with out seeing the air arms distinctive cheek piece. i am beginning to enjoy geussing guns in pics, lol.
  13. click on your pic and go onto open in microsoft office picture manager then go to edit pictures and then go to resize or srink or something then click on webpage size and save it then go onto here and click browse and then find your pic wich has been shrunk to webapge size then upload.
  14. i think you would be at an advantage with all those gravestones to hide behind
  15. thats the best post i've read on here i a long time. you could publish that in airgunner. i know there is no point in destroying sport but squirrels are an invasive species and in my opinion, the more that are wiped out, the better. i say, bring back our native red.
  16. i have similar with my s400. with the silencer perfect accuracy and zero. without it, about 2.5 inches high. dosnet really make any difference for me.
  17. good shooting mate! that first shot on the rook was too easy!
  18. good shooting mate! i would have loved to see tow popped with one shot but seriously i think they would have to have been well withing 20 yrds for you to do so. what bipod and whatt height are you using phantom? is it useful as i have been meaning to put a bipod on my s400 for ages!
  19. ok cheers. im going to fir a bipod on the s400 soon anyway.
  20. i have handled the s200 before and its the perfect weight for me its just i liked the s400 stcok more. now i see that perfomance is more important than looks. i'm just not sure wether to stcik with the s400 or do the swap.
  21. right an offer has come up on PW forums of a guy in my area who wants to swap his air arms s200 with a 10 shot converter and scope for a similar rifle in .177. know i love my s400classic in .177 but i have been looking for a lighter rifle as its just a tad too heavy for standing shots. so what do you say? hes in south wales should i take the offer? the rifle is in good condition. im reluctant to part ways with my s400 but i have been looking for a liighter rifle. ATB Aaron.
