  7. but i was refused my SGC for drink related offences (inc. a caution for assault)
  8. Thats the issue though, I cant get a firearms license.
  9. For the humane dispatch on dying stock. apparently its a requirement of the NFSCo to have it. Am joining up with them as a collector to try get more work.
  10. Cheers mate, I have read that link, thats where I got the details about applying for the provisional license but cant findout where I can do the training on there
  11. require it for Collection of fallen stock.
  12. How do I go about getting the relevant training? as mentioned im my handguns topic I have read the link given and applyed for my provisional license but cant find anywhere to get the training or assesment. Thanks Shaun
  13. How can I get the training for the license though? cant find anywhere to do it..
  14. I think that will be the best option then, but need to findb out how to get the slaughtermans license now so I can use it.
  15. Cheers for the link mate, Notice some of them say "restricted as per conditions on an FAC for Humane dispatch" What restrictions is that? Thanks
  16. Cheers for that mate. I have a vehicle that has been used for collection of hazardous clinical waste, its leakproof apart from 2 drainage pipes at the front which can be adapted into a catch tank so thats no problem. I have already found a rendering plant that will take the stuff off me at around £50 - 55 per tonne but not sure if thats reasonable or not as its the first time ive lookied into this. We are a waste management company removing all types of animal and human healthcare waste, Dont currently have a yard so everything goes direct to disposal at the moment.
  17. Cheers for that.. Im liking the look of the cash special captive so think I may go with that.. Now how do I get the slaughtermans license so I can use it?
  18. Thanks for your reply, All the offences were related to alcohol, the firearms inspector said that I appear have an underlying trend for excessive alcohol consumption and such people are not fit to be trusted with a firearm. It was all when I was young and stupid, apart from the caution 3 years ago, which was purely an accident anyway. (arguing with the ex's father, He was a right muppet, ended up in a scuffle, she got in the way and I somehow caught her while I was trying to push her father away, she had no marks or anything to prove it hence why no charges were brought). before that I had not
  19. haha yeah I did but couldnt find the post. cheers.. for future reference, click on your username, then "find all content" Cheers for that. Think I might give the FAC a miss for now then.. How long would I be looking before I could re apply for my SGC though if I was refused before? Its not as though I have a long history of previous, had a drink driving conviction and was arrested for a public order offence both 7 years ago and a police caution for assault 3 years ago, other than that im clean. Would like my SGC mainly for clay shooting.. Would it go better on my part
  20. haha yeah I did but couldnt find the post. cheers..
  21. you would require a slaughtermans license.. can get humane killers without a lisence. Thanks for your reply. The vet I spoke to said a revolving pistol would be a better option for the larger animals such as horses. How would I go about getting the slaughtermans license though?
  22. Hi, Just a quick question.. My waste management company are just looking into removing fallen stock from farms and will sometimes be required to humanely dispatch various animals.. What would be the chances of me been granted a FAC for a revolving pistol for the purpose of this? I have been refused a shotgun certificate on my past history (drink driving, caution for assault and arrested for a public order offence).. If I couldnt get a FAC what other options would there be? Thanks Shaun
  23. Yes mate they were well happy.. Dancing round like a right pair of idiots.. haha
  24. Yeah mate thats exactly what they were arguing about.. I didnt really listen much in French at school, but am fluent in magpie haha
  25. Well got my scope mounted on my air rifle now and got my first kill this morning.. F*****G magpies.. Was minding my own business getting on with some work when I heard a right racket in the back garden, a crow and 2 magpies in the tree arguing like mad they were.. I hate the magpies anyway as they hang on to the front of the ferrets cage and nick the food off them.. Payback time, got the cross hairs on mr magpie and let a load of .22 pellet rip towards him.. Down he fell like a sack of shit.. The others quickly dissapeared and I think they will think twice before returning today.. The ferrets
