    Thanks, need all the help we can get with the missing & stolen dogs. But this ones staying local so it must know area - but Im out of touch with lurcher people these days.

    Farmers don't tend to be trigger happy around here & many know lads for keeping vermin down but this ones been out a few days. Posted all over local sites & no one saying anything. Hes staying in a 15 -20 minute jogging distance so must be local. We have some one going out later to set up a feeding place & try keep him in one area.

    I'd forgotten I was a member. So was pleasantly surprised to find I was still a here. I help with animal rescue/missing & found dogs. In the past members have helped us find dogs - and we have helped member get their animals back. Hopefully -things haven't changed.

    This dog has been running between Edderthorpe Lane & Thurscoe fields for last 4 days. Does anyone know owner? He moves around more at night & staying in area.

    Just to let you locals know - due to increased thefts on the vehicles, police have increased patrols. Just keep eye out if using estate to cut through etc. The whole estate is covered by camera & weeekly reports sent out - so l know its used. Theres been no trouble or bother for the working lads so far - a few of you use estate to get onto open land. Just be mindful or increased patrols

    Just had a found dog come through on Petsearch FOUND Woodville, Sth. Derbyshire. 22.10.09. Lurcher male, Approx 2-3 years old. Wearing black leather collar with silver studding. Sores on body. No photograph available. Any enquiries re either of these to Burton Petsearch on 01283 535 622

    Has he got only one dew claw on the front Feet ? Dont know tbh- will find out tomorrow As for good home- he may be at a kennel but the owners KNOW working people & it wont be the first time a dog hasnt been released just to get it out of a kennel. There is a none destruct policy so he isnt in danger of been pts. I'll ask about feet & claws tomorrow

    Just got back from Scotland yesterday & this dog is still at the kennels. As at least 4 people asked bout him didnt expect him to still be there. No one has been to see him. Obviously his owners dont want him back -

    Will try for a 2nd time. Black broken coated terrier, not dog friendly, DEFINATELY working dog, has old damage to sides of mouth. Totally healed. Bout 3 yr old looking at teeth. Right little sod. Notts area he was picked up in. Proper cocky little terrier, cant miss fact he been working, not giving more info as owner will know its there dog. BUT his time is up & he can now be rehomed. Anyone wanting to home a terrier let me know, there is a fee but this lad will earn that within a week. If you recognise him -TELL ME.

    13 weeks is still a baby & others have already mentioned to let pup wake up then take it outside. Same with play time, they normally need toilet. Mine all knw 'toilet' it took my 4 weeks to get one rescue dog clean overnight in house, the semi feral dog I have took ages but now will come & nudge me to go out. Dont worry- it will just click what you want & in another week or so you wont even remember worrying about it

    pLEASE WARN OTHERS IN AREA UNTIL WE GET TO BOTTOM OF ALERT Yesterday I received an urgent email from the manager of my local rescue centre in Blidworth warning me not to go to the woods with my dogs because 15 dogs have already died of suspected poisoning . I'm trying to get more information and get the word round locally. Apparently it was on the local radio. I heard this morning that area of woodland connected to the incidents is Haywood Oaks woods, Blidworth, Nottinghamshire It could be someone deliberately laying bait for dogs to take, or laying poison for other species (

    I never made no secret that I dont work my dogs, but I do understand what you are saying. I look at a few different threads, Id love to have the time to go out with some one local. Ratting- cos I hate the shitty little things, hawks - cos I have always been keen on birds, cant do with fishing but at the end of the day if I know nothing about the subject I keep my mouth shut. I dont work mine cos ones too stupid the other has no recall. I dont have a problem with hunting, I do think breeding unless its for your own stock is a bit silly- especially when I keep getting dogs out of the pound t

    The reason I joined THL intially was because of the feral Saluki x that i trapped, stuck around because I realised theres a big gap with the help you guys get when a working dog goes missing. In certains areas the police work with Doglost in a big way, so do the traveller liason officers and other officials bodies. The police involvement is been encouraged throughout the country. But one thing I have noticed a lot is that dogs & bitches normally not neutered- nothing better for theives than to nick a dog they can breed from.     FOUR DOGS TAKEN TODAY!! BETWEEN 12 - 3PM 2 x LURCHER ( Bull/Greyx) BOTH FAWN IN COLOUR 18mths old 2 x TERRIERS, only 6 mth old. Black broken coated. & one black/tan Taken more or less as soon as the guy went out. He hasnt got computer but taken from Stratfield Saye - Nr READING Thieves possibly know as taken lads dogs before.     Can you get full info to either Doe or myself & one of us will register it on Doglost name age colour coat markings scars age breed Where in country missing from circumstances collar tag chip contact number We can leave name off any posters - stops theives knowing what its called unless dog already known to them. & ask for mods to pin in to LOst/Found as well.     Ok- Its only a little park but they do try & they're having a fun day & dog show on Saturday. Im going up for DOGLOST & DASH (my rescue) Going to take Sluke up there with me. If any one wants to come say hello - you'll find me easy enough. They going to have a few little rides for the kids, face painting, birds of prey. Dont expect a massive event- its little but theres afun dog show & will give you some where to take the kids for a bit- starts at 1pm
