Everyone with missing jrts/ terriers can you please let me know! Im trying to get the info from here onto Doglost Forum- then when we do find dogs I can also search them. If they are not registered on Doglost itself its hard so ALL PEEPS with missing JRTS - TERRIERS - email doglost1@btinternet.com- if you have pics even better. Am suprised that despite all posts on her for missing saluki/beddy types that no-one has sent me info. IF you dont want dogs back then fair enough- BUT we do find dogs, we cant always say where but we can get them home to you. IF we know they are mis

Powderpuff- if you coud put food in 'out of way' place that you've seen it. It took a month to catch this sod Ive got after she'd been loose 9 mth in total. If you can feed it that would at least make sure its got food- there a few missing at the minute & do not want dog been taken to wrong place. Will alert other helpers & my friends over there. ITs knowing where dog is travelling thats the problem- once you know that its easier.

Too right- we were all under 'keep quiet' orders as well. Just goes to show what can be done with enough help & talk. Pipers 'parents' have worked hard & deserve to have him home.

16Wk old pup is it normal ????
Doglost Co-Ordinator replied to Sully's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
Thats a cracking dog & you got her doing a lot for a pup. Agree with the others. I do use treats with one dog- toy with others -depends what they are interested in. If you use washing line- get the cord type & put some periodic knots itn it- I got a lunge line but I use it with loads of different dogs. But half the battle is being more interesting than whatevers distracting them. She is doing well for a youngster & with more play with the training she wont realise she's been trained & will come back because she wants to -

Flippin eck- you lot are domesticated, kids n all. Met my O/H working p/t in Sainsburys whilst divorce was going through. Should have stuck to Asda . 14yrs & hes still here - did help him rebuild two cars though- used to be pretty handy with spanners. Dont know what he was impressed with- but knowing my way round a car engine & been able to build stuff & mix gobbo come in handy over the years. Dont do kids though- no room left in the house or garden for all the animals I keep rescuing

WATCH OUT DOG THIEFS IN SOUTH YORKSHIRE
Doglost Co-Ordinator replied to fisher's topic in Lost and Found
No offence taken - BUT if we got photos of the dogs then we will automatically circulate them to 30 radius of our database & can notify our members as well. Posting everything public on a site that is watched keeps whoever has the dogs up to date with what you are going to do. Im not saying Ive got a magic want to get dogs back BUT everyone has contacts, a lot of the people I know wont look on here but they do get Doglost emails- specially if I know them. I clocked a dog today that Ive never seen before- but I d know it if I saw it again because of its markings & eye colour. I -

Doglost Co-Ordinator replied to bunks's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
I just found an EBT thats intolerant to CHICKEN- he's had runs a week- been getting fed chicken & chicken based biscuits to buid him up. Changed his food to fish based & its more or less cleared up overnight. If dog been like that a while Id be asking vets to check to find out hats wrong -
Where bouts are you? I get the Argos crates cheap & have some at home- I would definately worm the pup- they are born with worms so dont think its something the puppy has picked up. You need vacs as well specially for a puppy with no immunity.

wits end with bitch
Doglost Co-Ordinator replied to nasher1's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
Good advice from Chook. Always whilst on a walk call dog back - give it treat- tell it to go again, or call it back put lead on walk a few minutes & let it off lead. Then it doesnt associate coming back with end of fun. You should find that if you make coming back to you a reward that the dog will settle down & come back all the time -

Either Pm regs if you know them or email me Doglost1@btinternet.com, I have a load of contacts through rescue/pounds/police etc. I can only help if you give me info. Im on your doorstep. I have some lads that come round regular for scrap- he's sh*t scared of the dog & makes sure door & gate shut before they come up. I know some names of people involved. I want to help stop these dogs getting nicked but IF you dont help me I cant help you. I will not name people providing info - thats been stupid. We all know bout Penistone market. My friends had there gsds taken- well they tri -
Fab looking dog- since getting the 'sluke' Ive started to look at these in more detail. Stubborn as hell but flaming hell can they move. Mines a xbreed from ?? dont know where- found her on a field she'd been out 9 month by the time we caught her. She dont work- she's no recall whatsoever but fantastic to watch her race my other dog. The power of them is something else- reminds me of a cheetah. If Id had her from a pup or she had any recall she'd been a good dog. Yours is a a stunning dog- but get it chipped, tatood, freeze marked & dont let people know where you live- not that Im p

HAS ANY ONE SEEN THIS DOG URGENT PLS LOOK
Doglost Co-Ordinator replied to a topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Fantastic news & for anyone else missing a dog - CHECK THE POUNDS/ RESCUES & local kennels. We do our damdest & try to look at the various sites & this just goes to prove that you can get your dog back. Im glad you found her & that you have got a nice retirement lined up for her. Its nice to read -
Water pistol, or pop bottle with dried peas- not BOOT, if ' NO' & jerk on lead dont do it & it dont always work with mine so I know how you feel. Chuck bottle on floor as you say 'No' or water in face. Its kinder than a boot & you wont get shed loads of earache for it. Other thing I do with big dog is tell him 'down' & put foot on lead. Makes him submissive. I got three, fat lab, slukix, alsation/grey x so not little & no mean feat to sort out when they are all jumping around like idiots. She sounds like shes going protective but I dont know why
