Drontal plus every three months as normal no matter what you feed .............. Collie /Grey ...........you will need to feed much more than 2 chicken wings to a 23kg dog ............a rough guide I have a bitch that is 24" and 54 pound she gets one pound of best beef 2 slices of wholemeal bread ,6 oz of veg and oils as her basic everyday ration .I add to that bones two or three times a week and the odd whole chicken carcass if she has been doing a bit this keeps her in top shape but you will learn what is best suited to your dogs over the next few months

No ........any baseline dog eg.collie, kelpie, bedlington, bull ect. crossed with a Greyhound or whippet is a Lurcher............any two running dogs crossed e.g. whippet, greyhound, deerhound, saluki ect is a longdog.

I got a lwb Pajero which is the same as a shogun and I get around 27 to the gallon running around and 31 to the gallon on a run ...........most of them are around the same you will get a little better with the newer machines but you ain't gonna get car economy with a 4x4

Well I took my 13 month old Bull x bitch out for her second trip on the lamp last night. Not a very windy night but with my shift in work gotta go when I can really and she needs the experience, so went out for a couple of hours to see whats about and hopefully get her a few runs. The first field the grass was very long and I was having trouble finding any rabbits so she had little chance of seeing them ,managed to have a run on one but it soon ran into the long grass and made good it's escape. The next couple of fields were empty but she managed one run in the third field and was very unlucky no

I know a couple of people that have had them and reckon they are a good work horse, not great offroad due to there being no weight on the arse end and absolutely shite on fuel like most 4x4 though .Have you still got your Pajero Ian ? Still got mine got some nice new wheels and other bits on it since I bought it though ..........stainless steel exhaust didn't half improve the fuel consumption and gave more power too ............

Well all I can say is that you obviously weren't feeding the correct diet if you had to add loads of vitamins.............the reason for the veg in the barf diet is to give the vitamins ect that the dog needs for a balanced diet ..............but at the end of the day if you feel that Redmills is the stuff for you then good luck to you, but like I have said I will never feed my dog's on complete shit ever again after finding out what is in the stuff natural barf is the only way in my opinion
-
The barf diet isnt all that good they used to feed the whippet and greyhounds on that years ago now they have come up with redmills and other different racing foods they dont use this diet no more. I know quite few people who do feed the Barf diet and it's a damn site better than redmills IN MY OPINION but you feed what you feel is the best .Most of the greyhound people I know don't touch the complete foods with a barg pole ,they have secret recipes handed down for years
-
The diet I have my dog's on is very different to your's ,I will not feed any complete food due to all the shit thats put into it .In my opinion the best diet to get your dog running the best and looking it's best is the BARF diet ,there are different variations on barf but generally a good quality meat fed with wholemeal bread, veg, pasta, fish, and some oils bring out the best in your dog .There is plenty of advice on the barf diet out there if you look. What crosss is your dog ? different crosses can look very different when it comes to muscle definition .I have a kelpie cross that is well def

The correct diet is just as important as plenty of excercise I.M.O. also a dog needs plenty of rest to restore it's energy levels as running the dog when still tired will do it no favours in the long run .When you say she is not looking as fit as the dog's on here what excatly do you mean ? I take it you mean muscular and lean looking ? The diet she is on will have a big part to play with this ..........what diet is your dog on ?

Sardines are ok every few day's have also fed mackerel and herring due to the oily flesh but have since converted to other sources of oil that don't stink like a dirty fanny ........... As regards the veg I feed mine a mix of veg with there daily meal not a lot but just enough to give them the vitamins and mineral's to balance the diet was an avid feeder of scraps and offcuts cos it was cheap and once easy to source but it's more difficult to get around my way now due to defra To be honest though the diet my dog's are on now is the finest I have ever fed I.M.O. and the condition of the

If you say so fella ........each to their own
-
Thank's for the replies people they are well looked after even if I say so myself , I'm looking forward to a good season the one dog being experienced now and the pup will be learning all the way .She is already marking in cover and hunting up quite well , she has caught a few bunnies and retreived them ok too ...............
-
Those won't be any good for longnetting they will flex like a b*****d ,the thick poles that i got from magnum flex on some ground and they are a lot stronger than those tent poles for sure .If you are gonna use Hazel poles then they should have been cut last year and allowed to dry out thoroughly so they will be harder than when green also you can sand and varnish them to make them nice and smooth for when you use them no good just cutting them and using them straight away as they will flex too........
