  1. Get one of these sound with kid's and coming along nicely
  2. Put the skins in a jar and cover with white spirit or meths and soak for a few days ,then squeeze the skin out and hang it out to dry . The skin should stay supple after that and not dry out like when you use salt, used this method for fox tails and rabbits skins for years .I wouldn't use this method if you plan to do anything else with the skin other than for training the dogs though ...........

Actually the fact that the 2.8 is chain drive doesn't give you the security that you think. My 2.5 is belt driven and has to be changed at service times but people think that the chain doesn't have to be maintained on the 2.8 and I know of at least 3 mates that have had the chain snap ............ the guy that works on mine is a mate and said the 2.5 is a better engine than the 2.8 even though it has a little less grunt but as long as you get the chain checked regularly you should be ok ..........oh and the 2.8 can also melt number one piston too also costs about £2000 to rebuild the eng
  7. Forget about the top she can ride my bike anytime ...........
  8. Was only discussing this person in chat the other night and stand by what I said there ..................................what a complete T WAT............
  9. Yes mate it is the pup I had off Carreg she is still growing at the moment not much left to go now though ..... she's just over 23 1/4 inches now could make 24 as she's still only 8 months maybe a little more growth to go

  11. Thanks for all the replies lads my boy hasn't stopped grinning all day the dog is bred out of Ian church and Neil Stobbards stuff ............. I think he's a smart little fella and he's got a good steady head on him not too bonkers for his first dog we'll see how he does with him now start getting out on the rats in a couple of weeks after he's settled in a bit .............. oh and he's gonna start hunting them red rossettes soon too
  12. Cheeky sod you fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down I thought he's 6 1/2 months old and he'll most definately be showing the poor fella to death I expect

  17. You seem to think that most people on here are critising you yet you make this sort of comment and thats fine .................I have seen dog's hurt that have been racing for a long time it's not down to the breeding in the dog that will prevent it from injury if that was the case no greyhounds would ever get hurt as there's hundreds of years race breeding in most lines of greyhound ............... like socks says just because someone has a different view to you why does that entitle you to label them as a book reader and cyber hunter ? But like you have said you know what your doing so car
  18. I only end my posts with well done if thats what I think fella ....................
  19. Like I said if winning these events is what floats your boat then carry on but your missing the point about a pup being entered in this type of event against adult dogs ..................... to be honest can't be arsed trying to explain it anymore ..............
  20. the pups run around the field with the adult dogs should i stop that as well i have had lurchers a long time i dont sell my dogs if they dont make a certain grade i dont breed dogs to sell and in 40 years only bred 1 litter myself there was over a hundred people at that show over the weekend and they saw my dogs and only good things are said i also only started the show thing last july and always win the simulated andseveral workin events WITH 100% WORKIN DOGS WHAT DO YOU DO WITH YOUR DOGS MIKE????? Firstly the post wasn't a dig at you only my opinion obviously for someone so quick t
  21. why is there always critsism on these sites when someone does good Winning a show or "simulated coursing" event being classed as doing something good is a matter of opinion ......... the issue here is not about the physical capabilities of your pups but what could have happened during the race ............. personnaly I would much rather see posts about your pups progression through it's training then entering rather than look at my dog it's beat loads of others and is only 5 months old ............
  22. Don't you be so bloody cheeky......... Bloody young whipper snapper!!!!!!!!!!!!! She's 25" of lean running machine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!......... Aye a bit like you will be as long as you keep off the pies and keep up with the running
  23. "Well sporty"................. been called a lot she has Dave but never that
  24. Try as we might to be "hard" and shrug it off life isn't that easy ............. sorry for your loss mate ....... all the best ...........Mike
  25. She is just under 21 " at the moment but I reckon she will go another couple of inches at least with the knuckle she has left ..........In my experience they usually stop at around the nine month mark but I have had deerhound crosses that have carried on until they were over two year old the type of dog will have some affect on when they finish growing in height as some dogs develop quicker than others She is 7/16 Bull and 9/16 Greyhound
