the bivvy something 8 is good value for money their more expensive rod is meant to be made from the same blank as my free spirit es rods if that is true then that particular rod is really good value for money would not touch their alarms its delkins for me or if you want cheaper then the fox alarms are best

Thats a massive common mate i have had commons to 34lb 4oz and that was in France last year my mate who had never had a 30 caught a 49lb common in France was like a monster

I use my baitboat for getting under overhanging trees at 40yds so its not about being too far to cast.If a boat is used sensibly and the person using it respects other anglers i cant see the problem with them each to there own one from under over hanging tree
