  5. Sorry, will edit the pics better next time  :11: :11: Hello & :welcomeani: back Scott.
  6. everyone for the nice comments really enjoyed it .
  7. That wud be my hubby pet  :11: :11: :11: :11: :friends: It was great to be out with you two , the dogs did make some good catches together and there's always one rat that likes a close encounter with Scott in the pigs pens :11: .
  8. Pointer, my nephew and I had a ride out to see Amanda and Scott this morning for a spot of ratting. We arrived at the farm at around 11 a.m. with 4 Terriers, a Lurcher and started inside the pig pens. The rats did their best to escape but only two managed to get away, the Lurcher is learning well and no longer fetches the rats back live to hand . After half an hour or so we moved outside. The cover is still really thick at moment but the dogs used their noses well to sniff out the rats . My nephew getting stuck in .
  9. We used to get the odd one in now and again when the fields were cut but we haven't had a problem this year as we blocked every way they could get into the house, I found the old fashioned wooden "little nipper" traps to be the best with a bit of chocolate melted on . Mice cost my friend a new oven as they chewed the wires . Make sure you block any routes where they could run further into the house when you sort the kitchen out .
  10. Just out of curiosity, how do you administer the honey/lemon i.e. mix with their food, spoon full in their mouth, etc. I once boarded a dog and he didn’t catch kennel cough but he was carrying it and gave it to my other dog that hadn't been kennelled and they had both been vaccinated at the vets .
  11. Are you talking square bales or round bales? Square bales around here can range from £1.50 to £2.50 and the large round bales are £15.00 delivered .
  12. Do you keep your dogs in or out? If they have fleas you will need to treat their sleeping quarters too and if they are kept in the house then the whole house will need treating . Fleas seem to have been rife this year and I have used everything (Frontline and Bob Martin spot on, bathed a few times with Vetzyme medicated shampoo, combed with flea combs several times, Bob Martin spray for pet & home, Bob Martin flea kill and now have them with permanent flea collars on) . Not sure which treatment worked but they haven't had any more on them .
  13. Reading it made me so upset I can't comprehend how someone could do that to a dog. If they find the he should have the same done to him :realmad: . It has upset and enraged me, I'm not a violent person but . Rotting in hell is too good for the cruel b d.
  14. Landrover/Range Rover as far as I am aware are the best for off road. Why not have a look around auto trader at the landy's or try toyota hilux, nissan navara or mitsubishi L200. Toyota's are a bit more expensive but you can pick a Nissan or Mitsubishi on maybe a 2003/2004 plate for £4000-£5000. I needed a daytime vehicle too as well as something to put the dogs in and move hay and straw about in all conditions so I opted for the Mitsubishi L200 Warrior, I've had it 2 and half years now and not had a problem. 2 wheel drive for around the doors, hi/low 4x4 and diff lock. Good luck
  15. Well done little Angus, it's a start . Nice dog Taity, good luck with him .
  16. Nice to have you back Amanda . It was a right laugh, that bit was hilarious :11: . How many times have a told you not to hang that out on the line . Whatever will the neighbours say :11: :11: :11: . for the nice comments.
  17. I was rudely awakened this morning by Pointer entering the bedroom excitedly, maybe breakfast in bed for a change but no he had received a text from Scott asking us if we could go ratting. Pointer started bouncing around the bedroom like it was his first ratting trip and saying come on get up we are going ratting, I wasn’t too impressed to say the least :realmad: . The dogs started jumping around and Pointer was up and down the stairs. Now Sundays I pick my nephew up and it was too late to cancel so half asleep I sent a text asking his Mam if he wanted to go ratting and he said yes s
  18. I phoned my local council when we had one and they came and dealt with it free of charge .
  19. I imagine you would be pretty peeed off spending that amount of money, I would be fuming . My dogs are regularly bathed in Vetzyme JDS Insecticidal Dog Shampoo, a couple of quid from a local pet shop. My terrier had a couple of fleas on him this year and that is the first time he has ever had them, not bad considering he is coming up 9, I gave him a bath with the shampoo and they were gone.
  20. Yes, do you know her?
  21. It isn't bad doing that for a living, one of my friends certainly enjoys her job . Here she is in her skyline.
