  2. We had great fun and a right good laugh . Hope Amanda manged to get the bits of rat out of her hair allright  that was awful but funny :11: I just moved in time.
  3. Pointer and I had a ride out to see Manda for a spot of ratting this afternoon. Well what a day to go ratting, the heat in the pig pens was immense to say the least. There were 3 adult terriers and a pup. Also their Lurcher that had never been ratting before as well as Manda’s friend that hadn’t been ratting with dogs. It was mainly a free for all when quite a few rats bolted at once  . The pup is coming along well and carried on despite sustaining a nasty bite to the eye . Their friend seemed to enjoy himself too . It was a good hour and a half with great people

  12. Had a look to Amanda and Scott’s this morning, arrived just after 11 a.m. The dogs and gear were loaded into the pick up and off we went to the pig farm for a spot of ratting. On arrival we were greeted by the farmer who showed us where he had seen a few rats and as it had begun to rain we started inside the pig shed. The power washer was used to flush the rats out from under the pig pens. Around 11 rats were had in the sheds . We then moved outside and thankfully it had stopped raining but we had quite a bit of cover to contend with. Another 7 were had in amongst the cover using t

  16. Took the pensioners out tonight for around an hour . Despite another incident with calves trying to escape their pens :11: we managed to get three rats with the dogs, Pointer shot about four but we could only recover two bodies and he shot a rabbit too .
  17. It was good to be out again thanks everyone for the nice comments .
  18. Managed to get out for 40 minutes ratting last night, waited until around 10 p.m. to try and get some darkness. Only took the two Plummers. There were a few rats running around and probably could have done with another dog but Pointer doesn’t like to go in mob handed . Hopefully should get a few more in the coming weeks . Last nights catch. Got these two out of a rubbish pile next to a stable this evening with my male Plummer.
  19. No problem, hope it helps . I can't believe how much he has grown . It's a shame, I would have loved to see how he progressed . ATB HH27

  22. Had a trip out to a local farm on Saturday night and took team Nipper and Tess. Little did we know the farmer had yet again been re-arranging things. We went to the first barn as usual and there was a few rats in there but the dogs couldn’t get in so we moved around to the cow byre. There was about 4 rats in there but one managed to escape out of the door and down a drain , the other 3 never got that far and ran into the steam cleaner. The rats were coaxed out and after a few minutes of sliding up and down the byre in slurry the dogs did well . We went back around to the fir
  23. If I was planning on catching all of the rats in the world I think I would need a bit more than a nearly 9 year old Plummer terrier that has only been regularly ratting for the past 6 months Mr NV . :11: :11: :11: :11:
