  1. I bought my lamp about a year ago from scats, same size battery as Millets, ideal for rabbits.i think it was £78 [special deal with another cluson torch].the filter was £18.might be worth a look.
  2. Oredtrim, Nipper ,sounds like good advice i'll get out with him tomorrow & give it a go, much appreciated. Sonny
  3. thanks FJ & DS, I have been trying the bit of meat trick again .it seems to depend on what mood he's in ,sometimes one blast on the whistle he's head up and running to me like he's after a hare, another day i'd just as well stick the whistle up me arse!
  4. I took on my dog from a rescue place as a 2 year old. He was pretty much completely untrained.I got him to sit , stay etc.the recall i did by using a long rope, whistling him back & giving him a bit of meat. after a couple of months i could whistle him back even when i'd lost sight of him, however sometimes now when recall him he'll look up at me then carry on scenting around and ignore me. i know he's heard me and he knows what the whistle means,so why doesn't the f***er come back.he always returns to hand when on the lamp & is obediant apart from this fault.how can i get him back EVER

  23. my dog's booked in for tomorrow to get dew clawed.my next pup will be done at an early age cos they're a pain in the arse.he's pulled em by chasing rabbits into cover & even when turning fast on open ground.i've heard people say lurchers need them but i'd rather my dog was'nt laid up for a week at a time.
