Nothing on radiometric dating then? EDIT: It's hard to say based on that. If you had overwhelming evidence to the contrary it would stand up and be counted, no? If you could prove that the way we know things is wrong then surely the scientific community would embrace it? Why wouldn't they if your case is airtight?

Can you link to some peer reviewed papers on young earth science then? I always though radiometric dating was pretty f***ing accurate but I'm not a physicist! Can you link to some peer reviews papers on the validation of the bible? There is a tree alleged to be 9550 years old in Sweden. That would make it impossible? No? I've listed many, many examples of the science. You refute by saying it's bollocks and it's just my opinion! We're not really getting anywhere are we?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that we've systematically proved that all the scientific evidence, collected, tested, concluded, is complete fabricated horsehit. (Devil's Advocate as you know I think differently) What actually happened then? Will we be able to see any evidence to support a contrary position. This thread about "If God Made Everything, Who Made God" by definition is philisophical in nature. So if we're wrong. Who is right? How was it done? EDIT: BTW I'm off work until tomorrow, I have a sick lad at home and I can't go out... I've got nothing bu

We're both posting over the top of each other here. My apologies. I'm not the fastest typer in the world! This is thread about god, don't forget. You're attempting to disprove scientific theory, so I'll concede a little ground. But if science is wrong what is right?

So radiometric dating is flawed, even though it all points towards an earth of over billion years old? I'm not a physics major so I'm sure you can put me straight on that one. Supernova remnants wouldn't be visible over 1m years though, would they? So, back to the bible. Can you validate it? No problem. It's been a 4.5bn year race so far! No rush on the keyboard!

No worries. The internet is wonderful way to misinterpret. No offence taken! Speaking of misinterpretation, am I with these? I Chronicles 16:30: "He has fixed the earth firm, immovable." Psalm 93:1: "Thou hast fixed the earth immovable and firm..." Psalm 96:10: "He has fixed the earth firm, immovable..." Psalm 104:5: "Thou didst fix the earth on its foundation so that it never can be shaken." Isaiah 45:18: "...who made the earth and fashioned it, and himself fixed it fast..." How about the vault of heaven? Job 37:18 "can you join him in spreading out the skies, hard as a

I'm more of an agnostic prick than an athiest prick, though... Like I've said it's all about evidence! Mate, I'm from Manchester. I was born there, raised there, and for a few years I've worked in Mojave Desert... Is that enough for you? A couple of the members of THL's community of esteemed posters have even been out to visit me, but I won't name and shame to save their reputations! If the Yanks wish to pay me money for my skills, why shouldn't I? I still visit Blighty but only enough to spend my capitalist dollars on my family! I think liar is a bit harsh, mate. I've never ma

It's not a stupid statement. Most people believe what their parents believe because they grow up in that environment. That's not just religion, that's pretty much everything. If your parents voted Labour, there's a high degree of certainty you will. If you're from Liverpool, you probably won't read The Sun. Not all, I concede, but the key word here is most. You think these kids going to fight for ISIS weren't brought up in an environment where that is seen as a brave thing to do? You think Chinese atheists have nothing to do with the ruling government? I'm from Manchester.

You're correct on ignorant statements. The Japanese state religion, during WW2 was Shintoism. It included a belief that the emporer of Japan was a divine being. It was manipulated to allow for the extension of government and ultimately their involvement in the war. Dismantling it as the state religion was one of the conditions of Japanese surrender. Japanese technological advancement came later... As you can see by the device in your hand.
-
The definitions are a little shaky. You're either a theist, agnostic, or atheist. Yes, Not Sure, No. I agree with that. For me, religious belief is a product of geography. Most believers were indoctrinated as kids. Britains secular shift is starting to show in it's population as the poll shows. China has been hardcore communist since post WW2. The majority of their population has grown up under 'state is the religion.' The Japanese killed over 12m Chinese people, in WW2! I'd say f**k your religion as well!

Thousands of years of having it stuffed down their throats? Seriously though, what's wrong with arguing on the internet? Participation is voluntary.
-
Survey in the Independent finds that the United Kingdom is now one of the least religious countries in the world, and breaks down into some pretty charts So, a global rise in secularism to 33%! Atheists and agnostics now make up around a third of the worlds population! Great job guys!

Naah you just drop the tailgate and drive off!

So basically it's ripe for this islamic nonsense!

I've heard some stories but I know I'm not privy to the worst of it. I hate to think what's going on. I was looking that up, and you're right. With so much in reserves why hasn't a western country intervened? Is it because of the infrastructure? $340bn in oil since the 70's and the 70% of the population lives on under $1 a day! That's f***ing crazy!
-
If the place was stocked with oil, we'd already have troops on the ground. As we have no financial interest...

When it hits 45ºC and the A/C just f****d off for the weekend!

They're all great. The only downside, with .20 was pellet choice. Saying that I've not been in an airgun retailer for years so they may have addressed that.

No mate but you'd be surprised at how many opt for the wood fueled variety! My current favourite, though, is the pick up bed of a Chevy Silverado and a pond liner! EDIT: Not mine but you get the idea!

Forgive me if you've answered this elsewhere, but what lens are you using? Those pictures are superb, sir! -
I know some good muslims. Kind decent folk. Doesn't stop me criticizing islam though. It's a powerful hate machine, bent on total domination.
-
I agree, although we could probably argue the semantics of what actual value that is. I do understand what you're saying. This thread is about muslims, though. I'll concede that not all spiritual people are dangerous but using these old books as a basis for law and order, is a little fuckey, wouldn't you agree. They did a pretty good job of wiping out most of the old, safe, non-threatening belief systems! Infact we can thank a secular shift for allowing them to be studied/practised without anyone being burned at the stake. The fact that we can sit here and wax lyrical abo

Neems. I'm not dismissing anything. You claim knowledge! I claim fairy stories!! If you're arguing knowledge I'm in agreement, but you're fudging the lines between trial and error and complete bullshitted fairytails! I'm looking at the evidence! Or lack of! Put your hand in the fire and it hurts, Vs The talking snake! Natural selection, Vs 6000 years of biblical incest! The paedophile on the winged horse, Vs we're sat at a computer arguing semantics! You're likening me to a christian, which is personally laughable, but it couldn't be further from the truth! Tell me how

Ignorant? I don't know? and I don't want to know? You took a leap of faith there!
