  1. They're in the same place you pulled those dirty pictures from! You can lead the horse to water, and all that...
  2. Your sources for this? Hard to say what comparible is because you don't post sources, but there have been 701 reported cases of hateful harassment, since the election. I'm sure that's an alternative fact, and it won't be convincing enough, but it's still pretty indicative of the world we're living in. As I've said previously what happened at Berkeley is when these guys... met up with these guys.... It was all arranged on social media and they both hijacked a legitimate demonstration/show of support. There were pro and anti Trump people there but they wer
  3. I agree Shepp, it's not the source for all migrants but between Jan 2015 - Jan 2016 one million migrants entered Europe. According to the UN 46.7% were from Syria. 20.9% were from Afghanistan, and 9.4% were from Iraq. Darfur and Somalia are pretty warlike places too, accounting for a growing number attempting the journey across. Like I said there's a pretty serious cause and effect issue that's not being addressed by our panel of esteemed foreign policy experts. If certain governments stopped throwing munitions, would it be that much of a stretch to believe that people would stop fleeing t
  4. Are you suggesting the violence was only on one side? I'm kinda puzzled here, Nik. You're refuting a claim that hasn't been made.
  5. I don't think anyone has the energy to wade through hours, and hours, of youtube footage of extremists crackpots. I certainly don't. It's another tiny minority that have been able to capture global headlines to shine a light on their agenda. They sure as shit don't represent the majority of Americans. I am interested in your 95% statistic though. Is that 95% of victims of political violence have been Trump supporters? Or 50% of the 95%? I'd like to see the source for that one. The biggest victims of political violence, in America, are the African Americans according to the Tuskegee Institute's
  6. Two wrongs still don't make a right. The left and the right were fighting for dominance. This wasn't about taxes. It wasn't about free speech. It sure as shit wasn't revenge. It was a battle, in a war of extremist ideologies. When you get to that level it's not about right or wrong, it's about win or lose. It's the same mentality that suckers in extremists from all belief systems. The police did act and probably leaned more favourably on righties than the lefties. I agree and doesn't make it any more justifiable.
  7. They did, Nik. It's been on social media. Both sides were goading each other before it started but that could be fake news. The pro and anti Trump demonstrations went off all over the country with little fuss. The difference in Berkeley was anti fascists fighting white nationalists. The crackpots from both groups got together to have a ding dong and waste taxpayers money. There's plenty of pictures of both sides wearing body armour, and helmets, and there's a ton of anecdotal police comments that both sides were discussing ways to smuggle weapons past the police cordon. Let's call it
  8. The Mercury News, out of San Jose California, has some good pictures from the Berkeley demonstrations. The summary of the event is that extremist bellends, on both side of the political spectrum, organised a fight on social media... Hilarity ensued...
  9. The story was that he was supposed to be sending it to the Korean peninsula, to join with US allies. They were supposed to be dealing with Fatty ahead of his grandfather's birthday... Confusion? Lies? Fake News? I haven't got a clue any more, the whole thing is baffling but I think WWIII has been avoided for a few weeks at least.
  10. The only poll worth a shit is the election.
  11. It was supposed to be part of the very powerful armada he was sending to deal with North Korea...
  12. That's a reply only a politician could give! I'll get me coat...
  13. What something?! What are they going to do that fixes the problem? Are we going to physically round them all up, deport them, to try and reverse multi-culturalism? Or something less extreme? I'll start with stop f***ing bombing countries that seem to be the source for all of the migrants. There's been a cause and effect thing going there since 2001.
  14. One party with no opposition? What could possibly go wrong...
  15. Still doesn't even attempt to solve the perceived problem though, does it? Fingers get pointed and we capitalize on memes, and hastags. At some point we have to move away from the screens and actually do something other than being terrified.
  16. Yeah, south west. You're right about comparisons but cats like to hunt. Most animals will scavenge but watch a cat stalk a bird table and scale it up. Livestock will always be an issue but here there's a lot of that too, but the cats still go for the deer more than the sheep. If it's established the UK is going to have a far smaller population, also, which is going to have less of a dent in livestock predation. Again I'm sat on the fence with this one but we're talking about an animal that uses stealth more than an airgunner in a pest control write up. Small isolated populations would be i
  17. As always these threads are way more entertaining than the original story!
  18. Can't argue with needing the evidence, it's a prerequisite, but it wouldn't necessarily be a massive issue to livestock. Cats here follow the deer herds and livestock damage is very low. I'm not say they don't take livestock but they wouldn't need to hunt deer at all in these parts if that was the case. My son's seen one while out with the dog, but all I've ever seen is tracks. Nothing on camera and a couple of the rangers, I know, have never seen a live one. This is in a part of the world where they probably outnumber the people. If there is a population in the UK I really do think it's p
  19. That's the thing, mate. I honestly don't know. I've not lived in Europe for the best part of a decade so I'm viewing this from a distance. I hear similar rhetoric over here... The sky is falling, [insert Whichever President Here] caused all of the problems we have, crime is out of control, tax the rich, sterilize the poor, etc etc... The fact is we're living longer. Crime is at pre-1960's levels, and human beings in the developed world are having a pretty good run of it. It's hardly a utopia but if people switch off the television, and go outside, the problems don't seem to be as drast
  20. I can agree with that TC but again why the conspiracy to keep it hushed? What purpose would that serve? I certainly wouldn't feel the need to mock anyone that claims a sighting, but it's exactly because of all the anecdotal evidence that there should be more than that available. Pretty much everyone is carrying a decent HD recording device on their person most of the time. I'd expect to see more evidence because of this alone, even if it is ambiguous.
  21. I don't think even that is enough. With the stories told the evidence should be pretty well stacked in their favour. I can understand why those in the know wouldn't want to cause a panic, but why would it cause a panic? I've said earlier in the thread, I live in cat country where I wouldn't be surprised if they outnumber the 600 residents of this little town. Panic? No. Carry a firearm? Definitely. The very nature of the way they hunt makes them very unlikely to be spotted unless it's too late but the evidence is everywhere. Like with most things I'm open to the possibility, but this
  22. What happens now then? With everything so interwoven what's the strategy to make it right?
  23. Hard to gauge the mood, living over here, but I doubt there would be an upset. Like you said though there's a lot of things happened, politically, that would have been called impossible 12 months ago. From what I've read recently Article 50 can be reversed with the run up to the deadline, but it would be a colossal pain in the arse. Might be time for people to get off their arses, and vote, just to be sure. This could be a pretty big turn out!
  24. So essentially this could be a referendum, on the the referendum? An outside chance, granted, but it suddenly looks more plausible depending on the result.
