its the only show i go to (weather permitting) lots of stalls and usually a sprinkling of working dogs too !although last time i went i think it was a tenner in !
love to see the show men mumbling under there breaths when there show ponies dont get picked out
if i were looking for a dog to cover a bitch,id find something well bred, been through the mill,STILL doing the business, seen plenty.why use a 3 year old when you could use a 7,8,9,10 year old ?
jmo lads
happy digging .
the bitch on my avatar is 3/4 wheeler 1/4 parkes, been working wheeler crosses for over 10 yrs now, have found them no more game than a good fell/patterdale out of good stuff.the dogs i have seen probably have a harder bite on them .if you do use a wheeler dog on your bitch, make sure its done a few seasons,as some are prone to walking off quarry .
good luck.
he certainly walked the walk, nothing to prove.note to some of the young lads after a stud dog to line their bitches, liams old dog was the type of dog to use .your dogs look a credit to you liam and sorry to hear of your loss .
its always a good idea imo ,after youve found your dog on the knocker box ,make some noise where youve marked the dog ,make the quarry aware your nr,give it 5 if there still there set off digging
usually works for me
good digging .
personally i would bide my time and wait for a pup out of a dog and a bitch that have done several seasons earth work, been thru the mill, nowt to prove type dogs.thers been one or two litters on here alately that i liked the look of
good luck.
arnt these the sort of dogs we should be breeding off, been through the mill, nothing to prove !not the :hes rock hard and 2 year old brigade :
got an old retired bitch myself, she would love to get out for just one more dig!!!
