Help Identifying Needed ( Dog Kills Neighbours Chickens)
FERRETBOY replied to FERRETBOY's topic in Fowl & Feather Talk
but if the hens were in a secure pen to begin with then the mutt wouldn't have got to them, or if the hedge had been fenced off properly then the dog wouldn't have been able to push through a gap within the hedge . . -
Heres a new youtube video I have made. Filmed during one night in october, lass puts in a fantastic performance and catches a good tally of rabbits on some difficult ground. The rabbits were flying and it took some skill from the dog and Nottzhunter to stop them. More video's ready to be edited so please subscribe.. Enjoy https://youtu.be/Z5OpdY1RIDY good hunting rew

Help Identifying Needed ( Dog Kills Neighbours Chickens)
FERRETBOY replied to FERRETBOY's topic in Fowl & Feather Talk
Lovely lurch Mochara, i honestly cant think of a anywhere that keeps chickens within 10 miles of my place so it has never been an issue. if i was to hunt around chickens then i would use that time to get them used to them. Anyway the situation is now sorted and these lot can stop bitching. i only wanted to know the breeding and price of such birds lol. -
Help Identifying Needed ( Dog Kills Neighbours Chickens)
FERRETBOY replied to FERRETBOY's topic in Fowl & Feather Talk
I compensated them because it was my dog involved so I do take responsibility plus I wanted to keep the peace between neighbours BUT lol they should have used chicken fencing after losing one chicken that crossed GARDENS into my cousins and was killed by his pup as well. I think the rest of the chickens had learnt there lesson and just stayed within there own area but the owner should have used fencing knowing the risks he was facing with an unsecure garden. it was only a matter of time before a fox or cat would have done the same. It was just a freak accident and as far as I was aware th -
Here's a short fishing video I have edited together that I filmed during my holiday last year. I was hoping to do some fishing all week and one day even caught a good sized fish that I cant pronounce (watch vid) . I saw a young boy fishing with a hand line , he already had caught one that was in his plastic bag but keeping out the water I noticed he was struggling. So I shown him how it was done, I waded into the water waist deep and dropped bits of bread. All the fish had me surrounded and then I dropped the baited hook and I had to keep the fish from getting to close to swimmers and event

Trespassing on there land that they haven't secured off properly. There was gaps in the hedge which I wasn't aware of, they have only moved in to the property (few months) so don't you think it is there responsibility to take care of making it a safe space for there chickens before having them? -

Help Identifying Needed ( Dog Kills Neighbours Chickens)

I am capable of living on little and saving for the things i need. Lots of money is great but your outgoings end up being more as well. I know that job was a great opportunity but would have cost me £50 a week in petrol. I needed to give 4 weeks notice otherwise i would have lost 2 weeks pay. Plus i didn't have a car at the time after the crash and was saving to buy another. At my current job I walk to work, i save money on food because i get discount and my hours give me plenty of opportunity to do the things i enjoy, i was working 2-10pm. I had the evening to go lamping and the mornings to g -
Help Identifying Needed ( Dog Kills Neighbours Chickens)
FERRETBOY replied to FERRETBOY's topic in Fowl & Feather Talk
Ok guys you have said what I needed to know. My dogs are stock broken , sheep, cats ferrets etc. I don't work my dogs around chickens but if I needed them to be it wouldn't be very hard to teach them not to. My car insurance wasn't my fault so before I went throwing my money away I wanted to try and sort it out through legal advice, remember it was £500 more than what I was paying in my first year due to some woman crashing it to my parked car. You cant see where I am coming from. Its not like I been driving around without insurance. It looks like I might need to pay the extra after all but do -
Help Identifying Needed ( Dog Kills Neighbours Chickens)
FERRETBOY replied to FERRETBOY's topic in Fowl & Feather Talk
My cousins neighbours, I stayed at his after a long nights lamping. I forgot all about the chickens next door and let my dogs out for a piss. Don't really need to brake them to chickens normally. I agree, they must have been pissed. My luck might be getting better because I won on a scratchy yesterday. £30 to put towards them . -
Help Identifying Needed ( Dog Kills Neighbours Chickens)
FERRETBOY replied to FERRETBOY's topic in Fowl & Feather Talk
That's why I do need to know what breed they are so thanks jacka. I can replace them myself because they had them given to them. It was my fault obviously, I just had a week of bad luck, first the vet job with my oldest dog, then this , plus my pup getting a small infection in her eye. I am meant to be building a kennel as well to stop my pup escaping. Its all happening at once. cheers -
A few week ago my lurcher pup managed to find its way through to my cousins neighbours garden and like a fox she just went mad killing all four of there birds. 3 hens and 1 cockerel I think. Now the neighbour wants £150 to replace them. I find this a bit expensive and just need your advice. I have took a picture of the birds so could anyone identify them and give me an idea how much they cost . What does piss me off is the way they didn't have them penned off properly. Thanks for your help rew

Been going out with a lad this season whos been bringing on a saluki type lurcher with 1/4 wheaton and this dogs is turning out to be a handy worker. Hes got gears, stamina and a great nose and gameness from the terrier. Hes got nearly half whippet in his breeding aswell but hes 25.5tts, rest of the litter 22tts at most I think. But its that terrier blood that stands out, he goes into anything, its like hes been possessed when he gets scent or sights something. I wasn't a fan of terrier blood but I can begin to see why its become popular again recently, especially wheaton blood. Great pic

3 Weeks After Fly's Accident Update
FERRETBOY replied to FERRETBOY's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
I thought the same about letting air to it but going to keep the bandage on for another week or so . Prevent her knocking it causing damage to it. It bleeds easily you see and plus I don't want it getting dirty. -
great pic.

3 Weeks After Fly's Accident Update
FERRETBOY replied to FERRETBOY's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
£70 the first time and £30 each time afterwards. Shes been four times for cleaning and re dressing. -
I would just like to show you guys how well Flys foot has healed in only 3 weeks. We still don't know how the injury was caused but it doesn't matter as long as shes on the mend. The vets couldn't do a great deal with it apart from keeping it clean and applying a steroid cream to help the skin tissue to re grow. She was on antibiotics and anti inflammatory for just over a week. Into her second week she had forgot all about the pain and was trying to play fight with my pup which I restricted her from doing. Shouldnt be long now for the bandages to come off and we start road walking again.

If I didn't have my two then I would certainly get myself a purpose bred match dog or dh grey x saluki grey.

yes mate I totally agree.
