Used to ? thats a crime in my book....its like saying " i used to be english "......you are what your born into.....id love to support a successful team but changing teams halfway through life...thats just against the rules Fair play to man u this year they have been head and shoulders above the rest and showed great consistency,i can see them finishing 10/12 points in front.

oneredtrim....your posts are a little harsh in my opinion...but very true...personally i dont care too much for what fighters do outside the ring whether it be tyson/ali or whoever...im a boxing fan not a showbiz/star fan...but that said,you are speaking the truth....ali commited his life to his faith and took what went with it....just like tyson did for all of 6 months until he decided being a muslim wasnt actually for him and went back to being what that clip showed he was......

like i said before mate,i prefer to concentrate on what a fighter does in the ring...and in the ring ali,s courage was and never could have been questioned...or frazier,louis or many other " great heavyweights "....tyson did the most pathetic thing ever to get out of fighting a man he knew he couldnt beat...THAT is a cur,brilliant athlete or not.

Personally i think we all get too involved in judging tysons private life rather than what he became famous for...boxing !...im no counsellor or psycho therapist but i do believe i know a little about boxing and prefer to judge a man on what he does inside the ropes rather than outside...if he couldnt hack it as a top sportsman for whatever reason then so be it,but dont give him it as an excuse.....it seems the tyson nuthuggers always want to rub his belly about the hard times he faced and then brush the fact that he was a child molesting rapist ( possibly ) under the carpet.....if you do want

gaz most of what you say i totally agree with.....i agree,tyson was great in his prime....but then so was ali in his,frazier in his,louis in his etc etc......but to go down as an all time great you have to have beaten other great fighters thats just common sense...and tyson didnt !.....lets be honest trevor berbick,bonecrusher smith,tubbs,biggs etc etc in any other era apart from that one would not even have been top ten fighters...so it really doesnt prove anything other than the fact tyson dispatched them with unquestionable power....but that doesnt make him an all time great fighter......in

It always amazes me why people are so hell bent on giving tyson so many excuses for losing.....he wasnt the only fighter to have problems outside the ring....he didnt have half the problems ali had,yet did you see ali biting peoples ears off because he couldnt beat them ?....when tyson lost to buster douglas everyone was banging on about the death of jacobs and his leech of a wife.....douglas lost his mother 13 days before the tyson fight ! Thanks for the replies,i knew i was right all along ...next time i,ll shout " rule 53 " at them.... In fairness there probably wasnt anywhere sensible they could have pulled in,BUT had they simply gone single file there would have been more than enough room,i even thought of trying to go through the middle at one stage,but didnt want to clip them,not the animals thought i suppose ....couldnt even abuse them at the end of the road as they dissapeared into the forest

Driving down a narrow but reasonably busy road this morning i had the misfortune to be stuck behind 2 horses with a stuck up female on each....side by side refusing to move meaning a 2 mile road took me near on 15 minutes to reach the end.....normally im happy to slow down,stop or whatever it takes to be polite.....having politely ( but relatively loudly ) asked them to move over or at the least go single file my reply was " why should we theres no law against it "......is there or not does anyone know ?......only because im getting too old for it did i manage to resist some sort of road/horse

Really you can only blame whoever it was who gave him the ban...if you ban a man for life then he will never run again,ban him for a few years then why complain when he decides to race again....he served his time and if now clean and competing at the necessary level then why not race....also,lets not forget that chambers only got banned because he got caught,if we banned every athlete taking gear there would be no top class athletics!

Think your find he is a gonner bill....i was told he overdosed on a bit of everything in the north of england somewhere.....im not stating a fact mind you its just what i was told,nobody seems to know which kind of sums up the sadness of the man and his career.....when you met him did you understand a word he said, funny as fxxk some of his post fight interviews Jasp pernell whittaker ( sweet pea i believe they called him ? )...was a great little fighter,was robbed in my opinion of 2 decisions in big fights with chavez and de lahoya and never got a rematch with either which says a lot.
