    khan v earl

If you think graham earl is a stepping stone for anyone your wrong...but his best days are behind him and apparently he,s not in great shape at the moment....that said i think khan would beat him anyway....i dont like the kid but he,s got talent speed and strength...
  2. Tomo hatton looked well dont get me wrong.....but he certainly wasnt cut to the bone,he looked hydrated and healthy.....like a man who hasnt had to cut weight...which he hasnt....mayweather was bang on the limit....by fight time he will be up around 155 while hatton will be the same weight he was last night..... I think hatton let himself down a little at the weigh in,.....cool calm and collected is better
  3. : mayweather will be about 149/150 when they fight he'll be hydrating himself day He will be a lot more than that mate....come fight time mayweather will be up around 155 at least....i expect hatton to be at a full 10 pound disadvantage.....hatton look nowhere near as fine at the weigh in as normal simply because he didnt have to cut weight....the weight hatton was at last night is probably the weight he will enter the ring at.
  4. Fight wont actually start till around 4 am..... last i saw hatton was 11/8 mayweather 4/7
  5. Cant help direct mate but can get you a cheap days hire close to that area...50 quid for the day 7.5 ton
  6. Ive said it before and i,ll say it again.......this will be the only choice we are left with as decent british people so why not now rather than later..... www.bnp.org.uk
  7. ! YES YOU MISSED THEM . YOU WERE WATCHING A DIFFRENT FIGHT FROM THE REST OF THE WORLD I think leonard missed them as well....his face at the end of the fight you would never have thought he had been in a fight !!! and for a man who had barely fought in 4 years who last time out had been put on his ass by a nobody like kevin howard !! Hagler was possibly the best middleweight ever but styles make fights and hagler would never have beaten leonard if they had fought 100 times....hagler has even admitted this since !
  8. Yep i make you right bill......the thing giving me doubts is the simple fact that IF mayweather does deal with hatton for the first 5 rounds, what does ricky do then ?....pressure fighters only have one way to fight i just cant see what he will do...whereas mayweather is one of the best when it comes to adapting to his opponents style.....you mentioned benn/graham/naz etc....for me naz and graham had the reflexes to get away with that style.....benn didnt and im not sure mayweather does either....im predicting mayweather to stop hatton around 6 - 9....but id genuinely love to see hatton win,it
  9. Thats a damn good post bill and you make some interesting points.... a few things that caught my eye...one being the weight....i believe mayweather come fight time is going to have at least 7 lb over hatton....as you know mayweather has fought at this weight for a while now, hatton did once and moved straight back down because it didnt suit him.....mayweather is naturally the bigger man even though he himself started at a lower weight.....this doesnt mean we can expect mayweather to be the stronger man but it does mean that once the weigh in is over mayweather will rehydrate healthier and come
  10. just seen a clip of hatton in training....must admit although he looks sharp i hope he hasnt overtrained....noticed the big cold sore and patches of yellow marks on his face...its normal to have skin problems when in vigorous training....cold sores are normally a sign of fatigue/tiredness or emotional upset.......think the weigh in will be a good indicator.
  11. hatton wont be below 145 mate....he wont give him 2 pound let alone 7.....a lot of this fight will depend on the referee......hatton does a lot of holding in a fight to get close...if the ref keeps splitting them it will be to mayweathers advantage....joe cortez is a very experienced referee....but he does live in america
  12. As every other englishman i would love to see hatton win the fight it would be great for british boxing....but i just cant see it....i disagree with a few who have said hatton can adapt,he cant,he is a pressure fighter and pressure fighters dont do well off te back foot...that said mayweather can fight off the back foot and is comfortable there, which makes for an interesting fight....mayweather is technically superior and i dont think for 1 minute he has underestimated hatton....the one thing hatton has in his favour,is good old fashioned hunger and determination.....but in every other departm
  13. ....jesus,every single one..... what a dick !
  14. Harry Redknap for me......firstly,i cant see any of the names mentioned so far even wanting the job....so it only leaves the rest of the english bunch( redknap probably being the best ) or another foreigner...quite like the idea of rafa benitez, plus he seems interested and has good experience of english and foreign football, something that could go against redknap.......failing that.......................Eddie the Eagle
  15. Just because a dog has an inherited fault doesnt mean it will show itself it simply means it is carrying the fault...ie...it has an inherited weakness that is likely to show itself a lot easier than a dog not carrying the fault so it wouldnt necessarily be evident from a pup. By the sound of it anwl, your dog may just have tweaked it.....if you could possibly find out the parents / gr parents to your dogs history with this it may be a help, rest the dog up and see how it go,s mate, good luck.
  16. Slipping patella IS a hereditary problem.....that doesnt mean it will ever come to the surface of course but obviously there is more chance it will in any offspring......as most of us bull breed lovers will probably know it is a fairly common problem....not to be confused with the actual injury of breaking the ligament,i forget what its called now ??...the same as what paul gascoigne did years ago...the ligament that stabilises the patella.... A slipping patella can but is not necessarily brought on by a heavy landing type of injury but is instead just the basic problem of having a fairly hea
  17. I think your spot on Tommy.....lets not forget that haye has been saying for 2 years that he intended moving up after winning the title, its nothing new....maccaranelli can sit talking all he wants anyone who knows even a little about the sport can easily see that maccaranelli is almost a fraud ! i dont like to speak bad of any boxer but i read a bit of something he wrote today about how he thinks haye is ducking him and it makes me sick to be honest..... maccarenellis quality of opponents throughout his career is bordering on disgraceful !.... his last few fights have been a joke...bobby gun
  18. Yep fair comment and your right styles make fights....i just feel maccaranelli suffers the same troubles as his stablemate....a total fear of losing a fight !....maccarenelli has more experience than haye yet look at the difference in opposition of their last fights...macc fought a virtual nobody haye fought the world number 1......i respect the fact that haye put himself in a do or die position for that fight last night and went to the world number 1 fighters back yard and put his cards on the table...its a rare thing with british fighters these days and in my opinion that is the only reason
  19. Bill you really think macarenelli would have an easy time with haye ? that surprises me...i talk with a lot of lads who know their boxing and your one of the first ive heard that think he would win......myself i dont go along with the current enzo calzaghe ravings...i think he is a good trainer but not great, and i certainly believe that had joe gone with a top class trainer his career would probably have taken a different course...he may have lost a few but he would have probably also beaten a few top class fighters as well...gavin rees i think should be flattered by his top 10 world rating...
  20. So whats yous opinions on the fights....personally i dont think Froch was tested at all and needs to set his sights higher, reid was finished 4 years ago......Haye did a good job but showed his basic technical weaknesses....i dont think he will go further than a british title as a heavyweight but agree he cant go on as a cruiser.....cotto i thought won on the fact that mosley simply could not hurt him...it was the typical boxer/fighter contest and on this occasion the fighter won and deservedly so....possible future opponent for hatton if he he gets past mayweather...after all,if hatton wins ca
  21. 3 fights this weekend....whats your predictions.... Froch - Reid............Hopefully Reid but my brain says Froch by stoppage. Haye - Mormeck......Haye by ko. Cotto - Mosley ........ Mosley by decision. Lets see who can get 3 out of 3
  22. £10.75........steaming along now !
  23. Most of these so called " undercover operations " are no more than clever advertising....most of what they do doesnt even warrant a tiny quarter page article in a local paper yet most times anything they do recieves much more coverage than it should,tv in this case !......nothing makes granny put her hand in her pocket quicker than seeing the great work these wankers do...if they didnt rely on donations i guarentee most of their cases wouldnt even make the news.
  24. Gnasher you've made some good points, and you obviously know your boxing, but i don't believe Calzaghe ducked anyone.Yes there was talk of fights that never happened, but the fact is,when Jone's was offered a fight against Calzaghe,he refused to fight outside the U.S.As for fighting Wright,Well 10 years ago,Wright was fighting at light middle, and Calzaghe has always been a "big" super middle (obvious to all, that Calzaghe was drained at the weigh in for the Kessler fight),and lets not forget the build up to the lacey fight,Joe was the underdog, and Lacey had been labelled the "new Mike Tyson" by th
  25. When it comes to who is better than who its just opinions....so mcguigans opinion is calzaghe is the best to come out of uk...thats his opinion....i would say calzaghe has had more success than any other british fighter in recent history without doubt...but for me a great fighter should be judged on the great fights he had and the great fighters he beat.....calzaghe decided he didnt want to take the route of fighting other top fighters a long time ago so for me he gave up the right to be judged as a great fighter himself....succesful yes,an all time great no.... If greatness is decided by suc
