  1. I have been through 21 tins of various pellets and found that AA 8.4, H&N ftt 8.6, H&N Barracudas 10.6 are very accurate. The AA are a little soft and leave you fingers dirty but they do spread well on impact, H&N FTT pellets are as accurate and they are slightly heavier than AA's, barracudas give a lot more impact, people say they are the same as bis magnums but the barracudas are more accurate and better made.
  2. That ain't so bad. Thanks Sean The renewal visit is the easy bit...getting your certificate to start with can be fun!!!! Even more so living in a city. I payed for a room in a night club for my partner's birthday party only to find out on the day that i could'nt have it due to an idiot shooting a gun in the air the night before and the cops had to make a run for it, i was well pissed off so asked my brother who ownes a security company if he knew of any other clubs with a room for hire and he said yes but he recently fitted security cameras there because a women security gua
  3. I only want mine for a 30ftp air rifle enough to fire a 21 grain .177 pellet to 800fps.
  4. That ain't so bad. Thanks Sean
  5. That looks great you've found me a new hobby, i'm quite handy with wood going to make one for my HW100.
  6. When i do get my FAC do they come and inspect on a regular basis?.
  7. If they come out the mag system coupled with a 800cc bottle i'll be well interested. Thanks
  8. Nicely sad mate i totaly agree mate. I'm really hoping that that was a "typo" Swampy Sorry mate
  9. Is it heavier than a hw100t?. The MK1 Rapid is lighter than HW100 range but the S-TYPE range will be heavier due to the 500cc buddy bottle and regulated action. My S-TYPE weighs 12.5 lb fully scoped up, but I've always liked a heavy gun and have no problems with shooting from standing to sitting positions etc. The shot capacity of a Theoben will beat any Daystate hands down Thanks for the info Timelord.
  10. i found this site very useful for calculations http://www.airgun-hq.co.uk/AirgunTools/tabid/54/Default.aspx regards davy Thanks Davy i found those charts very useful mate.
  11. How did you obtain your license and was it for air rifles only? It was for airguns only and it was easy for me at the time. I worked on a large estate as an assistant keeper and had a shotgun certificate at that time. Called in to my local Cop-shop, and had a talk to the FAO. It's not so easy now and for me, it's not worth it anymore. If you need proper long range shots and are going for an FAC, go for 17hmr, .22lr or both........ You won't get many more bunnies in your bag with 30 odd ft/lb's than what you've got now. Thanks for the info mate
  12. How did you obtain your license and was it for air rifles only?
  13. Thanks mate found that very useful.
  14. I am looking to power up my rifle i have been told that the license is around £50 for 5 years, do i need permission to shoot ?, i only want it for an air rifle. How do you get one?.
  15. I have had a look at the stealth but it was only a single shot went for the hw100t .177 instead. I do like the daystate air wolf synthetic thinking of getting it in .22, is there anything else in that price range that i would be better of with?. If i do purchase the air wolf would you get it in .22 or .177?, don't want to regret it after spending that amount.
  16. £235 what a rip off i payed £115 brand new for mine 15 year ago sold it £40, you can buy a hw97k or a tx200 for less than that price second hand.
  17. If its in good condition and you like the look of it go grab it mate good price.
  18. Is it heavier than a hw100t?.
  19. Thinking of a custom rifle after i have sold my hw97k. What would you recommed?. Photos please.
  20. If you read and understood my post you would have noticed that i didn't say that it was impossible to hit targets at long range I just said that on live quarry there are limits. The footage that you put up is of guys shooting targets bench rested and indoors. This is a long way from a typical hunitng scenario and as such, is a weak argument for long range quarry dispatch. Even though the guns we use these days are accurate they have their limits, limits which you are not aware of or are unwilling to acept. Even you could hit a target at 100 yards when bench rested and indoors with an HW10
  21. Why bother? Maybe you should create your own topic called airgun jokes.
  22. Nicely said mate i totaly agree mate.
