What is the maximum distance for a 12ftp rifle on a rabbit?, i have finally got permission on a farm would you shoot out to 60 yards with a .177?. No. I personally wouldn't go any further than 40 yards, with any cal 12ft/lbs rifle. I have done in the past on the odd occasion. Thanks

great thanks Where is the best place to hit a rabbit?. depends on how good you are with your airgun mate, a head shot is always best but if you cant do that then a shot to the heart will drop them for sure. alot of people swear by cavity shots. Just curious but i have always gone for head shots myself, i thought may be it would drop them but they might die in pain.

I have been told by my local gunshop to hit pigeons at the top of the wing with a .177 not sure about that i only go for head shots but the say it drops em dead by smashing the bones through the body.

I had a look at the nikkon sterling but i do not like the built quality very much although the optics are great the same micro lux ete coating as the mtc viper, the viper also has locking rings on the turrets so if i am zeroed in at say 60 yards when i get home i can set the turrets to zero and i am back where i started zeroed in at 20 yards.

Hoping to get into field target shooting, hunting .177 hw100 no need for lamp at night 60mm bell illuminated recticle grabs the light well.

Hello mate, look at the Brocock AimX PCP pistl, 270..00 approx, and a proper tool, from 5.7 FPE UK spec, all the way up to 25.5 FPE, where alowed and they shoot pellet on pellet, top bit of kit, here,s the link,,.. www.brocock.co.uk check em out,, all the best,, Rob,, Thanks Is it easy enough to turn the power up to go FAC.

How much do you want to spend, and is it standard power or FAC? Rob.. Standard power, but would prefer if it could go fac at a later date. Looking to spend around £300.

Thinking of buying a pcp hand gun, does anyone know what is the best.

The hw100 are great rifles 110 shots in .177, 120 in .22 you would get less shots in the carbine version which has a shorter barrel and cylinder. They have a 2 stage rekord trigger, you get two 14 shot mags and it does not double load avoiding pellet jam in the barrel. I chose the .177 hw100t and I am well impressed, it is a brilliant peace of kit. They are very accurate in the right hands you could drop a rabbit at 50 yards, you only need 3-4 ftp on impact head shots only.
