  1. yeah mate the blood seems quit fresh and i did notice some thrown up grass in the pen that's from earlier disevening but the vets in the uk are no use to me im in Dublin but thanks mate fair play to ye
  2. out today he could of picked up some rabbit bones in the feild but that would'nt be anything new but i dont think they would make him sick but thanks mate thats your problem dont feed him maybe a drop of caster oil to help him get it out the other end when he stops getting sick and he should be grand in couple a days im gonna put a few mil of cod liver oil down him and take him out for another walk and see how he gets on
  3. i rang five vets and got no answer from four of them and the other one gave me an emergency number and that ringing out aswell

  5. when i went out to feed the dogs tonight my blue whippet dog would'nt come out of the box to eat and he is usualy first so i took him out and put his food infront of him but he put his nose up to it and went back into the box so when i was finished feeding the other dogs i took him for a short walk in the park outside my house and he seemed his normal self and he had a crap that was solid so i just thought theres a first time for everything maybe he's not hungry or he is a bit out of sorts because one of my lurcher bitchs is in heat so i brought back and tryed to feed him again but he still h

  9. thats what i told my sister when she was getting it but this one has surprised me been quit plassit and trying to retrieve live rabbits until the terriers have taken them off her
  10. i was talking to a girl on face book a while back she was from austrailia and she ran wild boar hunting trip with the dogs if i had the funds i would be gone
  11. my sister was given a dalmnation bitch a few months back she is 2 year old and she is none reg but she is coming into heat at the moment and i was just thinking as an experiment of covering her with a greyhound i have taking her out a few times with me with the whippets and terriers and she has caught a few rabbits on the run and she has marked plenty of burrows and she has the stamina to run all day just wondering would it be worth while or would it be a total waste of time.i think her stamina would be nice in a lamping lurcher

  13. i know a couple of lads that work them their great on fox ,sika and fallow but they can make shite of the meat
  14. i go to most of the shows here in ireland and i have won a few rossettes but my dogs are out and out workers but they are more of a bit of crac to meet a few people that otherwise you would have never met ;i actualy have had some good days and nights out working the dogs with lads i met a shows but i will say having been to some shows in england aswell i think the shows over here are more about working dogs than the ones across the water
  15. i keep a couple of whippets their great out ferreting but when your out on a good frosty morning and not much is happening they can get a bit restless so when it's realy cold i like to use the beddy/whippet crosses
  16. what do you mean easy money?? do you win money???? sorry if i sound a bit thick but i've only ever being to one lurcher show and that was at dipton and they never race!! some shows are starting to give good prize money for racing which would be all well and good if it was only lurchers racing You the lad that had them T bars at Birr last year? Just like to say, top bars them.   19. i get a lot of rabbits this sandy colour around my area and a lot more young ones around at the moment than there was last year
  20. any lurcher bred more than 3/4 greyhound is defeating the propuse of creating a lurcher at all we use cross breds to try and get a mixder of the best trates from each breed if we just want speed demons we all might as well just work greyhounds that can be got alot easier and cheaper than a decent working lurcher but be prepared to carry your dog back to the car after a half decent nights lamping
  21. if racing your game and ye want to race a greyhound bring it to shellbourne park and see will it match up there but if lurcher racing your game use a lurcher
