    My eldest daughter spends as much time as possible with mine she walks for hours miles and miles , I get home then its daddy can we go lamping tonight . These two have the perfect bond , it is making me smile thinking of when I come back with a nice bag she runs to her shouting good girl almost in tears telling me how proud she is ... My daughter is only 5

    Get them out and about as early and as much as possible , stock break early and bond with each other , remember the breed you have chosen can take an age to nature, so if its not seeing like its keen at 9 month its because its a pup very much so mentally, ... Every type, every dog is different . the amount of times I've known people to give up on deerhound types bugs me. Just get it out enjoy your time with the dog , don't get frustrated, and you'll not look back ..... All the best with flint

    Mixed views on this , after you've gone a couple of generations and stableised the litters in theory , why not . as said Wheaton's are used , and I think temperamets would be similar . but it would not have the desired effect in the first litter ... As I say mixed views but maybe a possibility .
