  1. I've now moved this to the correct section. I've been offered a secondhand Webley Eclipse in near new condition it has only ever been fired less than 100 times and has been in storage for 10 years. Do rate as a decent air rifle and roughly what do you think would be a reasonable price for it? Thanks for your help.

  5. so youve finnally fallen into the dark side lol cracker season ahead! No No No No Never, my bird is way way too hard to be using with ferrets, I'm just doing Thurso a favour and taking one off his hands, and my kids really want one, and they are a bit cute, anyway Sean when did crawl out of the woodwork, get back to yer fishing
  6. She speaks highly of you too, she thinks you live in a petshop.
  7. Great mate, which one's mine?
  8. You can get a kit on evil bay.
  9. Yes Red Deer antler, wouldn't mind making a stick if I could find a nice bit hazel, not much of it around these parts, what other wood is suitable?
  10. Here's a couple of pictures of a rabbit dispatching tool I've just finished, these are used in falconry as a humane method of dispatch when a neck pull isn't possible, normally a sharpened screwdriver does trick but I had an antler and some time.... Thanks for looking.
  11. So at age should either be neutered?
  12. To be honest I'm fancying a hob, but as stated they may have a tendency to lay up, also how true is it that smell more if they're left entire? That leaves a jill that would need neutering or brought out of season by a hoblet. So the easiest option would be a jill and hoblet, then would I feel bad taking the jill out hunting and leaving the hob, at what age does the hob get the snip? Cheers for answering these basic questions.
  13. Its all in the title, if you could have only one ferret to work and planned no future breeding programme what would you choose, whats the pro's and con's for each?
  14. Congrats mate, the kids are working on her in doors as we speak.

  18. Well done mate, its no easy being the one taking the pics, I alway feel like you're missing out on the fun a bit, I'd rather get stuck into the action.
  19. Great pictures everybody. When we returned from hunting with the hawk one day the wife asked my daughter if it made her feel sick when the hawk caught the rabbit, my daughter replied "No, its only nature Mummy."
  20. I think Thurso Jack could be involved in a similar thread to the one we've been discussing. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...topic=23485&hl=
  21. To be honest I'm not that bothered about the cat I'm glad it was found etc, but what suprised me about the thread was the attitude some people towards pest control in general, from what I can gather is this person had placed a fox trap on his own property for whatever reason I assume to protect his chickens and people are encouraging the cat owner to go on to that property and distroy the traps. Can you imagine if the cat had been caught in a snare.
  22. Trolling through the web today I came across this thread currently running on a community forum, read and weep, I would have thought that people living in a rural farming community would have more sense. http://forum.caithness.org/showthread.php?t=24601
  23. Good job you got jabbed the other week, how's Archie lug? Best night yet.
