  3. Thanks for your reply, that's very interesting, it's the sort of answer I was looking for. Tell me when you say only two where running dogs, did you mean the others were no good. At all? All the lurcher of old the wareners uses to use all look very collie like in the old pics. Â
  4. Hi, cheers for the offer [bANNED TEXT] but i fancy a bit more collie in the mix. You are all right about getting a collie lurcher of the right breeding but its not as simple as that.... the mrs needs to be convinced and the only way i can blag it is if she could see the pups and then i keep one. I am happy with every thing my bitch does, she retreives live to hand she is responsive and obedient, she just lacks the stamina to go all night and she has very week skin, i figure that putting a lot of collie in the mix would give me a lamping machine and then i would have the speed in mum should i n

I have a bitch that i bought as a collie wippet saluki grey, in reality i have a dog that stands as about 23 inches and looks something like a saluki wippet, she is very racey and fast (to fast). 20. my little bitch ripped her dew claw off on our last lamping expo about 2 weeks ago and after a 50 quid vet bill and 2 weeks no running i took her out for a quick shine and she ripped the other one off!! is that normal that she should damage them so frequently? and if so is it worth having them removed? cheers slex
  21. This is to be my first season lamping with my little whippet/collie x saluki/grey, she is about 17 months old and has apparently done a bit with her previous owner, she has caught me a fair few day time rabbits and retrived them to hand. When i take her out at night although she is catching she dosent really seem to understand that she is suposed to look down the beam and will only chase once the rabbit is moving and as a result is missing quite a few that i feel she should have caught. Is this usual for an inexperianced dog or should i return to basics and stard dummy retriving lessons in t
