Fair enough, I was reading on the net that the dust and chemicals can affect the pad of the dogs. If that is not the case then that's great. Also being that it is concrete there is a chance it will soak up the wee and rain. Thanks for all the replys so far. I see what your saying mate, to be honest when concrete is first laid it does give a fair bit of dust off.....there is a dusty residue usually on the top, just swill it over and give it a good brushing a few times. I'm sure all will be well mate if you swill and brush it before putting your juks on it.. -

Never heard of concrete affecting dogs feet, well not if its laid properly. Dogs have been on concrete since time began......most workers live in run of some description and its usually finished with a concrete floor. What probs have you heard about Richie mate ? -

It will be difficult to seal Richie if the dogs are going to be p*ssing on it. The amonia in the urine will eventually eat through most things. Concrete is waterproof so no real need to seal it. If your looking for something just to enhance the appearance then i'd consider quarry tiles. Look attractive and can be kept hygenic.......not really expensive either. -
