i use a 12v 7amp/h gives about 3 1/2 to 4 hours hours constant use and also carry a spare,although obviously something bigger will give you more run time Cheers next question where`s the best /cheapest place to get one from. any electrician should be able to get them for you as they are used in alarm back up systems and changed on a regular basis get a 12v 24ah it will run two magnets and your flapper for two 8 hours trips job done
