it's blody hard work geting permision tony and sometimes it,s hard to keep ive lost three good areas to syndicates one was an area where we used to get a lot of pigeon and the deer that was there would have made a great stalking area , i was lucky enough to meet someone that finished with dog's when the hunting *** came in and he asked me how good the rifle was that i had and when he saw how effective it was that was it i now have permision in the west of scotland down to the north east of england but before that it was hard work we spent a full day driving around scotland and got nothing

thanks for the invite that would be great i have a lot of dvd's from cabelas in the states and the hunting over there looks absolutely spot on ,the offer can be the same for you ,but most of my hunting is on the fox's ,and mostley on the lamp ,unfortunatley i am not as lucky as you as the deer population where i live is verry sparce ,and we have quite a few land owners that won't entertain us shooters , anyhow nice to hear from a hunter from the states ,hope you have a good hunting season -

yes the bucks are in velvet but some are already clean the rut starts about july and goes into august i think , and the reason that we hunt does in winter is that this time of year the does are in young ,some may already have had them ,and the kids are dependent on the does this time of year ,like you i can not afford to shoot big bucks (fallow) or stag(red) so i settle for roe which i beleive are more challenging to stalk and shoot , personaly i would love to hunt in your country no matter how big the bucks are but the expence prevents this ,and good deer stalking in this country is ha -

just arrived home after a excelent day's stalking with pegandgun .The day was arranged after i sent a pm ,i arrived at our meeting point just after 5 am ,we transferd all my gear into pegandgun's 4*4 then of we went, we set of stalking through woodland at about 5-30 phil (pegandgun) told me we were working our way up to some set aside where he had seen some good buck's, after about 45 mins we arrived at the area ,we must have been there less than 5 mins when phil spoted a nice buck about 3 to 4 hundred yard's away and not much further back was another good buck .The stalk was now on , we sta -
all my equipment is rcbs i got a second hand single stage press from my local gun club for 30 quid so if you shop about you may get a good setup quite cheap ,pay as much as you can possibly afford ,i use rcbs comp dies for my 223 ,and rcbs dies for my 243 there is a wealth of realoading manuals on the market , you haven't stated what caliber you are going to reload .I started of using h4895 for my 223 but after trying benchmark i found this to be a better powder for my remi ,started with 10 rounds of 24 grains ,10 24.5gr,10 25gr then finaly 25.5gr all these were shot at target's and thr

when i had air rifle's (rapid 7 ,s300)a farmer where we shoot had the same problem with feral pigeons ,we shot a few around the farm but didnt make a dent on them ,then as it was getting dark we seen one drop in an old school house ,the farmer contacted the owner and he gave us permision to go in ,so off we went when we got there the amount of pigeon shite was unbelivable they must have been roosting there for year's we used the lamp and shot must have been 40 to50 easily ,another visit the following week and the farmer's problem was sorted and he was chuffed to bit's so much so he recomended

as millet says it's hard work geting permision ,we have put alot of time and money driving about scotland and the north east asking for permision ,so if u can drive percivere you will get there in the end and dont let refusal's put you off we once spent a full day in scotland and got no permision at all but we now have large areas in scotland and the north east
