    Thanks John but tried backpack swung about when climbing fences and even with padding the battery dug into my back.have thought about webbing harness but again i need somesort of pouch to carry and attatch batterys to it

    HELLO lampers! made a lamp pack up from dry cell alarm batterys +cig socket from scrap car i put it into a ex army shoulder bag but this dos'nt distribute the weight very good hellish on me neck . like to carry pack on a belt and put a battery on each side of it.anyone know what ex army pouches will take batterys approx size=60mmW 85mm 150mm L.thanks.

    A lot of my shooting pals are going for 20 bore shotguns they say that they are a lot lighter to carry when you'r out rough shooting all day and because they are lighter you can still swing through your quary when you are tired at the end of a day walking about, is this the case or is it because me and pals are getting on a bit. I still use s/s 12 bore but must admit when i borrowed a 20 bore for an hours walkabout in the summer i did like it and i had a few kleen kills with it. So do i get myself a 20 bore or not .Any comments an 12 20 or even 16 bores for rough shooting.

    ONE OF THE REASONS FOR HAVING AGOOD DOG ON A ROUGH SHOOT IS TO BE ABLE TO COLLECT ANY RUNNERS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE FOR YOU TO DISPATCH.AS ALIMAC SAYS THE TYPE OF REFLEX SHOOTING MOST OF US DO MEANS THE BIRDS ARE SHOT IN NONE FATAL AREAS . BUT IF YOU'V GOT A GOOD GUN LINE THEN WITH EXPERIENCE MOST WHO HAVE BIRD FLUSHED IN FRONT WILL LET A GUN FURTHER DOWN THE LINETAKE IT AS A CROSSER AND HAVE A BETTER CHANCE OF A CLEAN KILL.I use 6s 28/30 gms shot but sometimes we use 6s 32 gms or 5s on the rabbits if they have developed very thick fur .A lot of my pals are useing 20 bores because they are lig

    goats milk best for pups but you can use powderd stuff the shepherds use for the lambs you can get it from agricutural merchants and its a fraction of the prise you pay for the stuff thats sold for dogs used it on two litters of pups and know lots of others who have used it with now problems at all .

    Riohog. i don't use that many but its a thought . thinks if anyone is reloading in my area i would be willing to supply spent ammo cases and to pay for reloads if theres no law against it.

    rang 4 local gun shops (north/east) for some fed power shok 223 55 grn not only none in stock but 3 had no 223 ammo at all is there a shortage of 223 ammo or is it just the noth east area.So first does anyone now of a supplier who stocks what i want and secound is there a general shortage of rifle ammo in any caliber.

    dog thinks its pack leader they must know there place in the family all must work together to give dog manners start by stopping it from getting on setee ignore dog and turn your back on it untill it loses interest as soon as it does call it to you then you a calling the shots and thats a start yes it's the owner not the dog thats to blame if you don't check it you and your dog will have an awfull time together kindness is good firmness is better if you keep being daft and soft with it i bet you end up getting rid our even having dog put to sleep . sorry i mean your mate will not you smarty.

    yep out with the dogs and a few friends veriety to me is more important than numbers but a steady flow of flushes keeps the adrenallne going.

    have comfort in the fact that your dog had a proper life lived to the full and that like a true friend you didn't let her suffer .every time i've lost a dog i vow never to get another but i do.

    good bag lots of good food for the freezer terrier must be a good strong swimmer to be able to push the duck through the water and then tackle the bank to bring it to hand.

    yep you do get attached to them .I'm looking after a couple of cockers for a lad who is poorly these cockers are larger than my springers dogs parkbreck breed and the bitch is wernffrwd breed very strong animals the dog looks as if he could go through a brick wall watching them on the move reminds me wy i like spanials and not the more sedate breeds like labs etc.
