    i dont know who told you its illegal but i think somebodys pulling your plonker mate you can buy as much as you want from any DIY store and use it on anything you want ....hope that helps Its called substitute creosote

    IM usually out by myself so scope mounted lamp is a must for me i use one of those cheater slings which takes the weight of rifle and lamp , my lamp is always on rifle and dont have any problems ,also on the safety side i never put one up the spout till iv spotted charlie ,if i had the choice i would have a lampman with me.
