theres no need to cut the tail...next time just grasp and pull and the tail comes out with the string attached ,lasts forever ..try it and see

ive had something similar ,,followed from the road when i was in the field with the dogs ,,i came back to the farm yard and 4 bullys got out ,,started to tell me theyd be more than happy to shoot the dog etc...i called the farmer who was working in the shed and he scattered them to fuk ,lol told them never to say a word against me or ever enter his land again ,,i had a big smile on my face that day i tell you ,lol

i buy from aldis or lidl ,bags of mixed frozen vegetables ,,a cup of tripe , a cup of minced chicken ,,and a cup of beef mince on alternative nights ,,the dogs thrive on it ,,i find the tripe used with other feed great for putting the weight ..sardines 3-4 nights a week and when its freezing outside i make a stew from all of the above ,,keeps them in great nick ..i have a man up here sionnach that can supply you with tripe ,washed and minced ,if your looking for it .

had a new addition today ,,RED CLAW CRABS ,the 2 lads went out and bought a few plants ,new bog wood and 2 friggin crabs ,lol..its starting to look a bit better now i must admit ..all practice for the big tank in a few months

the next move is for a much bigger tank but only when they have their shit sorted out first ,,get educated in the ways to keep em clean and what fish to introduce,,your posts are a great help thanks .

thanks SHH,,i will show the lads this ,they are doing their own thing with the fish and i try not to interfere..are the dwarf american cichlids good with plattys?the dam tetras ate and stripped own a few plants we had too,,we are finding it very hard to find a supplier of decent plants ,,they are all stalk like types they have for sale here ,,and poor examples too

they have a few corydoras cat fish too which are great to watch and an upside down catfish ..the tetras have to be rehomed ,the lads want to flush them but im trying to find some one that might integrate them into their tank system ...

My sons are getting back to keeping a few fish of late again and have started with a 100 liter tank,,with the intention of going for a much bigger one in time ,so just getting some practice for a while..theyve started with the usual plattys and a few tetras and an upside down catfish...so they have introduced a few buenos eras tetras which have turned out to be rather vindictive ,,yesterday 4 shrimp of decent size were introduced and were quickly consumed by the tetras ,lol..so they need to do homework before buying more and the advice from the sales person in the shop isnt quiet right ,,so an
