nice one fish,how old is it now? a mate reared one in the seventies ,called it bobby but it would turn on its owner every now and then and bite his arms after lying in his lap for hours.grumpy thing it was. he let it live in a garage with a catflap and it wandered all over at night near killed a few farm collies on its travels as it was reared round dogs and had no fear of them.the rspca got wind of it and took it away saying that it was being released on a wildlife centre.god hope the badgers on that reserve as it was a big old brute must av weighed near half hundred weight.it allways came ba

i reared one once tamed up well but better of in the wild. i got asked to check a drain that someone had dug and removed a vixen and cubs when i ran the bitch through she came out with a week 7 day old cub .i popped it into my hat and took it home.dogs can be taught to get on with foxes just like a dog that lives with a cat will kill other cats .you learn more about a fox or any animal if you can rear it from young age.

they taste great, the have more breast meat than other breeds and are ideal for crossing for killing to eat.plus they lay more eggs than other breeds of goose.had a gander live till it was 17 till charlie had it for xmas.

social servises cant just break in and check on children like the rspca can. someone should have said a dog might be strarving aswell. funny old country now when rspca have more powers to look for so called accusations , while human live suffers... and laws seem to back the bad guys...

they are an established uk bird. they breed and migrate and fly back every year. they used to breed on a marsh near me and in the war years people would collect thier eggs in thier cap for food. probaly why theres not as many around now but they are wild birds just like swallows and sparrows.

looks like my old shepard that died a few months ago aged 10 he was of direct german lines from peterhead prison stock weighed in at 9 stone great temperment with children.... only ate one a day.... but was a cracking gaurd, loyal companion and allways up for learning something knew even when older. a good hunting dog as well... deer or fox. as well as tracking human.

correction methods differ from dog to dog you must first get to know what type of temperment your up against and also let the dog get to know you. trying to train any dog with the same method will result in many failures that is why some dog men shouldnt really have dogs to train. allways be calm when checking your dog and not turn into a jeckel and hide infront of the dog.be consistent in correcting your mutt as its all a learning curve for both dog and owner.

last sat at our shoot one of the beaters asked me what makes a bitch blow up round her middle he said her stomache was solid without seeing her i said maybe a change of diet to all meat..... 2 days later 9 fooking pups..... what a fool. he,s had dogs about five years now but still hasnt learnt nowt.
