  1. although the metal detector would work in theory, i cant't find a detector that goes that deep enough for chaeper than a ferret locator
  2. if youre getting into ferreting you won't go wrong with david bezzant's ferreting book ferreting a traditional country pursuit i think its called robbed mine from the local library on work experience
  3. Tis wierd but i think theres something more than mixy doin it, we don't have many predators round here, rabbiting is hard enough round here without rabbits dissapearing, will try another part of that bit over the next weeks, can't do anything this weekend cos i am going over two my nans.

  5. was out yesterday doing the edge of a wood, was full of rabbits the other week, the dog could not find a mark at all, i remember killing a mixy rabbit last month on this land but i have not seen another since could mixy have wiped em out? your thoughts on this please
  6. arite lads gettin a lamp for christmas but was wondering if icould use my 13 pound spotlight that i got from argos with a proper lamping battery, the spotlight has a cigar plug for charging and i thing it has a 6 amh 4 volt battery but not sure any help appreciated.

  9. i agree ditchshitter, a girl walking two rotties is f*****g unbelievable, more people are buying dogs they don't have time for. so they get the kids to walk em, f*****g unbelievable. what i would like to is these two dogs who killed the baby, where where they bought, trained, maybe these answers would shed some light on the problem

  13. you will do alright with one of them mate, mines 15 months and just training him to the lamp, he will be a cracker, what kind of work will you be giving him mate.
  14. that article is absolute shite, i have been feeding a few weeks to my dog and ferrets and you can't help but notice the difference.

  18. hi lads and lasses, got a lamp last friday and my first few trips were a bit,well, s**t really, can't get the dog to look down the lamp, he is far more interested in hunting up, could this have anything to do with my ferreting the same area, and how do you get your dog trained to the lamp. And what are the best conditions to lamp rabbits, does the wind have to be blowing gale force or just a light breeze, wet or dry etc. thanks lads

  20. was out yesterday and one of jills got bit on the nose, thin it must of been a rat because i seen one by there early in the day, it doesn't seem to have penetrated the skin, just scraped of the fur by her right and she looks to have a wee sratch on the other side, her eyesights fine and she looks fine. any help would be appreciated thanks
