    Yea socks ordered 3 dry bags from amazon and a compression bag. Might get another one for my jacket.

    Yea defo getting a good sleeping bag and hadn't eventhought about a bivvy bag until socks mentioned it. Mountain wwarehouse do them for a score. tbh i just take water from the mountains around here. Never thought about filtering it lol

    Oh if you dont fancy walking the ben you can get the gondola up at the nevis range. also the harry potter steam train to mallaig . I highly recommend if you go to Glenfinnan stop off@ loch morar i swear the beach there is like a carribean beach. Pure white sands the dogs will love it.

    I live there and tbh it doesnt really matter about the weather as the mountain has its own ideas lol Done it other day and i was f****d lol its a hard slog! As matter of fact the ben race was on saturday the same guy won it again for the 8th year in a row. A dr. Think it was 1hour 28min up and down. I dont drink but i have seen a few people going into pubs with dogs. if you head along by Glenfinnan there loch shiel about a 40min drive its very nice.also head up to Spean bridge and loch lochy 25min drive. Stunning area. Tbh its all stunnung up here. You wont be dissapointed. O

    Cheers lads appreciated. Yea saw the osprey rucksacks and yea very pricey lol was looking at a berghaus 65 for 70quid. Or a highlander 65 for 35 quid reduced from . defo look into a bivvy socks. As said need it to be light as possible. A lot of walking snd on ferries etc.

    I noticed on amazon there loads of chinese knock offs. Has anyone bought the chinese ones and if so are they any good? Im going to start doing wild camping and explore the highlands and islands. Dont drive so just be rucksack and the dog so need to keep the weight to a minimum. Also any advice on a good sleeping bag/rucksack. Already ordered a banshee 200 tent after reading a few reviews think that be best for my needs.
