    Hello i want to bulk my dog up a bit i heard brown bread and pasta or brown rice anyone got some tips ?hes a fussy eater dont take to much will eat tripe and a bit of raw meat

    Get back up their and have a long leash / rope on collar and walk trough shhep give plenty of lead and you got her if she runs again shout no load if they even look at sheep dont avoid contact keep going till no interest

    Most important wait tikk mature enough their bones & joints are very fragile dont bother books vids etc they will come when their ready and find a place with out barb and just walk away dont go back once you start lifting thats it they will wait try a bit of sheep netting in garden or if you know a narrow ally etc try small to start and gradually increase ,but mine have always leap no probs from 6/7 mths on i have found it best to wait a bit they will sucseed better and now they jump for the hell of it on a walk out mine are 21 and 22 inch and jump as good as big dogs no probs with spa

    The golden rule dont ever take anyone to your kennels unless you know them meet local to your house and if you must have them round take reg car etc theirs to many theiving cun*s in the terrier & lurcher game unfortunatly go with you instincts when you meet them you can see the genuine dog man their are still some out their

    Their are many good dogs areas and terrain differ but many good dogs out their peoples opinions different ,so iwould say what ever feeds your needs

    Dont read books to advise on bringing on dogs as all are different "the dogs not the books " i went 18 mths ago to get a pup and came back with two both from different litters and i have taken them day time together exersized together ,theirs nothing like two running dogs at full tilt to get them fit but my advise would be enter on the lamp one a a time as you will probibly spoil them as they want to chase each other etc one at a time and you be fine look at it this way its more trips out until they are exsperiansed enough to run both on same night but still run them on ther own ,hap

    Gain is budget feed poor quality ingrediants its aimed at large kennels to keep feeding costs down it available in most places between £7/£11 you get what you pay for with dog feed look at the main ingrediants on the pack the greater amount is always listed first and the lesser last ,simple if meat or chicken meal etc are listed 1st thats a good guide if its cerial veg based 1st their cheaper generaly wheetfeed maize etc look for best you can afford its a massive market pet food Gelert dry dog is very good quality and they manufacture their own a good variety between £18/£35 depends on

    Hi all my lurcher has a very poor appitite its on chicken/tripe etc ,but is very fussy eater been to vets every thing ok ,someone recomended Dorwest Herbs Malted Sea Kelp ? any one used this or can you recomend something else tryed all types of food still very fusy just need to bang a bit of weight on as when he has had a good night on lamp sems to fly of him what hes got ,thanks if anyone can recomend ?

    Well done you will pick it up as you go along ,is their a few people you know who you can tag along with for a few nights dont pick up their bad habbits go with a few different ones and you will develop your own style try getting th dog back after every run dont start slipping on every rabbit whilst its of or you will have a job to correct that , most of all just enjoy

    Terrierone look dont take it to heart but you asked for it £200 mate forget it ,yes their is different types of working terriers some make it some dont you cant put it in their ,all i am saying along with others is no wonder some good working terriers/lurchers are so diluted a terrier is their for all types of work but mainly the control of fox in sheep or game bird country serious dogs serious men ,keep on ratting theirs nothing wrong at least you are working something

    Dont take offence mate £200 per mating ,you should never breed ftrom a dog that cant kill its fox if required to ground and is a tested earth dog ,i know you work him above ground pal but for that sort of fee ! are you just after the cash and show results ,i would think you wouldnt have any good terrierman line his bitch with him ,ONLY breed from out and out workers if you want to keep the gene pool strong thats not saying that that dog hasnt got it in him may be just hasnt the chance,slate me back if you feel anyone but thats my opinion

    Meg that coat will take forever to come any good now thats why i got a firminator i will say its suits this type of dog or any other come to think of it it takes the dead rubish out and leaves a good hard top coat eventyaly after a few months a tight coat will establish ,unfortunatly meg you have reversed the pattern get a furminator about 4 inch and start sorting that coat out
