  6. Thai curries are more to do with a mixture of flavours than out and out heat. Like chinese/ indian the lurcher of curries
  7. Right lads time for a bit of thought What is it that drives you to hunt? In my opinion there are three main reasons for the hunting of wild prey,in no order 1. Pest control(control) 2.Sport(enjoyment) 3.Subsistance(food) I think that all of us here count sport as a factor but what about the others? Personnaly, the whole food thing is a major part of it all for me. Im very fond of the idea of self sufficiency and i cant see a more natural way of going about this than putting game on my own table.I see each season in quarry terms just like i would look at the season of Blackberries or
  8. Not to far from me mate, id be happy to help out.

  13. Sadly not a new dog. The wife appeared with another bloody horse, well it might be when it grows up Starting to think ive got the word MUG written somwhere obvious :11:
  14. Well the pups coming on well. I dont like to rush things at first so her second outing was only a couple of nights ago. S he had 4 of 8 runs, and best of all took one out of the beam when i lost it over a hill in the field. All were retreived live so all in all a success Sophie is heavy in season so shes not being run right now and is a stroppy bitch around the kennels
  15. I hope it is the one with the boxer, pure gold
  16. Got to agree with you on that one mate, well said
  17. I would agree with you on that Frank, with regards to German/BelgianXs but i think there reputation for this is enhanced due to the small number of litters bred each year. Think about the hit nad miss nature of Bull crosses, in the first cross their can be a lot of litter wastage, due to the pups being to heavilly biult for the "average" lurcherman. However because there are so many litters of first cross bulls being bred, there seems to be a greater amount of good dogs from that first cross. Just a thought
  18. Roughly half mate, and if i was to put anything on the floor no one else would be allowed near it!
  19. Know of a lot of Belgian Shepard crosses, if thats any help to you. Own and work one myself too
  20. Not everyones cup of tea i know, but i like her. She certainly does the job
  21. You Irish fellas get all teh lucvk! 1.Good beer 2.Good cider 3.Proper hunting, still legal Id be over there in a shot if it wasnt so expensive
  22. Not usually my type of dog mate, but that bitch looks a real belter
  23. Not too many of them around here mate, but would love to see her have ago, you never know. Shes the first dog with Saluki blood in it ive owned so i cant give a very informed opinion on that one mate, all i can say is taht in her case its been like banging my head against a brick wall during her (attempted) training. However, once out in the field, so far she has been a different dog. From other Salukis i have seen and her, i think that the hunting instinct in them is the strongest of all sight hounds. You considering one then?
