    i dont go to dog shows but i dont knock them as having them is doing more good than bad in my eyes with anti hunt wankers.

    yes your right there ,its the same if you use to hunt them 5/6 times a week you will see things what your dogs do and deer do that people who dont hunt them or may be in a blue moon would call you a lier or doubt it .....you cant beat going out and doing it instead of thinking what you might think would happen or have been told by a net expert...

    I bet he's gonna be a rough,tough cookie the next time he see's a dog! In my youth i loved hearing tales about a red stag in the midlands that wouldn't run from a dog, instead once the lamp hit him he turned and faced the dog(s). To my knowledge no one ever got him, none of the lads i knew anyway and I am sure he killed a dog, or at least badly injured one. I will find out the full story though....     whos saying single handed? i didnt write single handed any where in my post..ive never seen a red taken single handed but never said i had .I was answering to what JD said on the very very rare time 2 dogs would take or slow down a red .which i disagree with.

    i have also been lucky and have hunted deer all over uk the last 26 years and have been on land that not many wouldnt ever be so lucky to go on after deer , i have caught red deer in the day and at night loads of times ,i will give you they have been highland reds but still reds , i have seen the pictures of the red stag caught in the rut down south with the 2xbulls form a well known bull line and this wasnt a one off ,average fallow dogs dont miss many sika stags,if a sika,fallow kicked a dog in mouth hes losing his teeth belive me .perherps its not so much the deer but the dogs chasing them
