when was you going up there ?....i went up there a lot from 87 -91 for couple of weeks at time, they did take the smaller scottish stag and i seen them take them in day time too. first up there at 8 year old with my old man,1994 been every other year since,last up there 2009 when me dog did his front leg in on a tree stump,hes doesnt bother so much up there now,he has a few older dogs on but nout running was he ill last year?hes from blackpool ,but moved to lyth caithness ,is he back full time in blackpool?

on the west coast thier not far off size of down south ,its something to do with weather ,food better on west coast The stags ive seen has always been on the west coast. You were saying they were bigger down south im thinking must be huge down south anyway good topic hope it stays atb i wouldnt say they were much bigger if any bigger than west coast what ive been told of weights they can reach on west coast ,but much bigger down south than highland stags

Whats is a small scottish stag ?do you mean a young one ? no mean they not as big as down south ...i know thier bigger on west coast then highlands .... i would find it hard to believe a dog taking a good highland stag unless there was about half a dozen of them on it and it would still be a hard job for them atb highland stags not much bigger than good fallow buck down south ,2 dogs were used on them

yes he might of told few porkeys but when i was there his dog done job and caught game ,we have had this before just because you havent seen it dont mean its not true fred ,remember different people have different standards with thier dogs ffs dont you think the Roe would fade before the hour anyway no matter where if there was ground lol.....try fading after 30/40 secs
