your right mate as in horse and dog are the same some like heavy some like wet but your missing the part were the hare runs dry or wet the same very little difference dog horse sinks hare dont they leave a little print even in slop mate ?

dry loose land you cant keep tight so only way to kill that hare is to sit at say 40mph behind it then turn speed up 5 mph split secondgreat mouth catch hare out no whippet can hit them speeds mate and certainly cant change the pace like whats needed after a mile o so only what i think mate thats hard going to stop them on?

same this way mate hares were for eating same duck pheasant etc rabbits aswell but they was mostly sold plenty a grews pure greys but they wasnt single handed dogs so to speak hunting for food doubled saluki and single handed come about the same time lol
