Cheers mate your right it is very satisfying and your right about clean up,.22 etc this was just setting a few snares to get a hare for dinner and to keep the missus happy,and all us lads know it makes for a quiet life to be fair though the missus skinned and gutted it and then cooked it,shes a good 'un

I was the same as you a couple of years back was going to go for FAC air on ground that was cleared for sec 1,i decided on a .22 RIMFIRE im so glad i did,it worked out cheaper to buy a rimfire then it did a FAC airifle,go for .22, never used a .17 hmr but some lads rave about them so its upto you.

  12. Thanks folks,it was a good day was hoping the wind would have kept up like it was last week for the snaring but still didnt do to bad.

Well after checking the snares(see snaring section) me and bodgerbear went on to do a bit of ferreting,so on to the first sett nets down and waited 5 mins bump bump WHAM rabbit hits the net at speed,ferret went back 10 mins WHAM another rabbit hits a net ONLY THIS TIME SOMEBODY WAS A BIT SLOW IN GETTING TO IT WASNT HE BODGERBEAR and it escaped,told you i wouldnt say anything bodgerbear .So back to the car after BB had picked ALL the nets up and carried ALL the gear back to the car,that will teach him to be quicker and pay more attention I found a little 4 hole sett never noticed it before,s

Well had bodgerbear coming up on saturday morning for a bit of ferreting so i though i would put a few fence snares out,the missus fancied a hare for dinner .So gets to the farm and started looking about a couple of hares ran of the field as i was walking the fence line,there was a nice wind blowing as well so though could be on for a good sesh.So set the wires along a fence that seperated a grass field from a wheat field.Went back saturday morning and had 2 hares and 2 rabbits not a big bag but nice to be out setting a few. This rabbit was snared round the back amatuer i know
