  2. Never is the simple answer you may look like Jesus but I am sure more holly than you . Good hunting or should I say good poaching ATB Cookie If you are so 'holly', make like a tree and leave. Just make sure the tree as been undercut before chopping down,cookie dont like a chopped tree without undercut
  3. Cheers mate,just had another farmer ring me up tonight so looks like my ferreting season will be going on for a bit longer .Trouble is im up at woodgas on saturday, brush up on me snaring ,so had to put farmer on hold for a week

  10. Your right mate,when i went to the guys at the weekend he said he had talked to his neighbours who said it was alright to ferret their land and now he gets me this land to ferret,still pinching meself..think im dreaming

  12. All i got when caught poaching was a good hiding, well two in fact,one from the landowner and then one from me dad for getting caught

Well got in from work tonight,me phone rings it was the guy whos land we ferreted last weekend,he had recomend me to a mate of his who runs a football and cricket grounds,so i rang the guy up and it seems he as a problem with rabbits and could i come and sort them out for him..........oooooo hang on let me think hell yes i will be there .Was going to hang me nets up for the season,but for some more permission i think i could delay it for a bit longer just shows what can happen if you put the effort in and do a good job word soon spreads might have a beer or 5 tonight to celebrate .

  16. Is there any time limit to when you get a open fac? like do you have to have had it for 2 years or so. Just i have a closed one and just got a few more bits of permission all of which say i could use my rimfire just make it easy if it was open.

  19. When the landowner said the rabbits lived in a railway bank i thought o god,steep bank lots of bramble and undergrowth glad i was wrong it was a lovely bank to do it was like netting a open warren in the middle of a grass field

Your right tomo,these rabbits shot down the bank and where heading for a hedge the otherside of the orchard,the runs off this bank towards the other hedge where cracking like a motorway shame the landowner had a cat . I am a pursenet man but i do use stopnets on hedges though i have had rabbits bolt from hedges and ran straight across an open field. Thanks for the replies folks
