    Go back through the snaring section over a few years there will be quite a bit on fox snaring just do a search?

    not really a need is it. telling some one with no experience of fox control to chuck a fox snare down compromises animal welfare for starters. What would the lad do if he finds a vixen in milk in his snare? Snares are a tool to be used by people who know what they are doing as part of necessary fox control, telling a young kid to but one down without instruction and guidance puts everyones right to use snares at risk. Ok fella if you say so? I'm sure the lads got a bit of common sence,like as been said everyone as to start some where,there is lots of info on here he can use.

    They are hoop snares. They are made from high tensile wire,the snare wire is tied to a leg using a half hitch knot same knot as you would use on a fence,push the legs down either side of the run then set snare at the right height. They are ideal for use on soft or sandy soil,the high tensile wire takes the strain of the rabbit in the snare,the rabbits usually wrap themselves round one of the legs and die pretty quick

    Deer stalking sorted now tomo,nobody I know does it so I put it on here. I thought about it been twice and to be honest it is bloody boring? like mole trapping I admire the guys who go out all day just doing moles it would drive me nuts? There is a fair few rabbits and other things on the new ground to keep me busy?

    Fenn traps in the burrows,deffo wouldn't use cages where folks can see them.

    I would say fox next time you set rabbit snares chuck a few fox snares out you will pick the fox up as well. Once they know your snare line is there they will visit it every night?

    I recently aquired some new permission,see snaring section, farmers asked me to sort a few deer out for him I don't own a rifle that's upto the job plus I find it boring? if anyone interested pm me.......want someone who is reliable,honest and safe plus MUST have insurance,I will still be using the ground for ferreting etc so will be able to keep eye on who ever gets it ?

    Trapped a mole on friend of a farmer I know,in return gave me permission to ferret,snare and trap on his land,also said I could take a few deer so deer stalking up for grabs anyone? I find it as boring as mole trapping???

    No just the top,the spring puts tension on the trap and and holds it in place

    Or make a tunnel out if mesh and add holders into the cage,killing to birds with one stone

    These are the ones I use plain and simple,high tensile wire bend the shoulders in to hold BG.

    Most of my mistakes is the bloody iPhone. Not spelling, but changing words even when I spell them right. Turn off autocorrect? spell check will still work,just click on word with the red line under it and it will bring words up?
