Just wondering if anyone on here shoots with a .308...the reason I ask is my neighbours kid who is 9 as been out with me a few times plus others and he collects all the spent cases to put in his bedroom...he has got .22 and .243,plus shotgun cartridges of various gauges....so was after something different for the lad,I will pay reasonable price plus postage if anyone can help out,thanks ?

  5. Bit thin on the ground in my neck of the woods...woodga is tripping over them lol...we went out with his thermal imager(cracking bit of kit it is)there was rabbits every where

True he has EDDIE but that said I was struggling to find some of the beats on this ground,so woodga had to show me,the grass was short in places A couple of hours our snaring with Woodga or Glenn, would be worth more than anything you could learn off the net. Well Lads, I know what you're saying about practical experience, but I have learnt something off the net tonight by reading this post. Cutting the bottom strand of the square the rabbit is travelling through. I'd of never of thought of that. Simple, effective, and from the point of view of foul catches, more humane.

  8. I was supposed to be staying at woodgas for a week so it knackered that up....? I'll get a bike and cycle back up lol
  9. Colin met up with bob merrin and he gave colin some nets plus the multi coloured one lol we did have 3 rabbits in it though Love it mate nobody can nick that one by mistake. Recon it was made up to give you all a laugh. Cheers Arry Bob said to colin he had some odd bits of twine so he just used them to make that net ?
  10. Bit of wire mesh bent over,couple of pieces at each end,cut 2x2 inches entrance hole. Place a jump stick in front of fenn,so rat jumps onto trap pan.
  11. Agree there EDDIE you can get the basics off the web but nothing beats going out with someone with years of knowledge...that said I still get it wrong and woodga has to show me again lol

  15. There's was two of us working the bank plus two dogs,it was a steep bank made worse by the lose ash,some rabbits that bolted was airborne lol
  16. Think it's the hydraulic pipe split,fluid all over engine so just see what garage says
  17. Either fenns or bodygrips set in tunnels,restrict the entrance to tunnel to stop hedgehogs getting in,which being a garden there could be one knocking about.

After checking the snares,went on to do some ferreting..some big ash setts,had a cracking day finished on 40 odd.....then just got back to woodgas,just pulled up and me clutch went in the car ffs....so called AA 5 hours relay back to my house ??...so a bit peed off at the mo Now sat at home waiting for a big repair bill ?
  19. Went to check snares,had some in fence snares and a few in the pegs finished up with 36,so didn't do bad.
